A great thing about having the power to traverse time and space was the space part. It meant that sometimes, Ausra got to explore different realities, either adjacent to or very different from his own. So many different places to see, so little time. (Except, of course, he controlled that, too. So he had as much time as he pleased.)

The problem with these excursions, however, lie in the energy it took to hop from dimension to dimension. It wasn't something he could just do liberally, or on a whim. It took a lot of preparation. He wished he could bring someone with him, because the jump left him exhausted, with a hard time moving. Usually he brought snacks in a pocket dimension, but this jump had been exceedingly tedious- or maybe it was just that he had not fully recovered his energy from a previous fight. So reaching into the pocket dimension was a no go. But there were people passing by. Nehebkau changed his armor to fit in more with the people, and out of the alley he strode, trying to get the attention of the first person he saw. "Excuse me," Ausra said shyly, "Do you know where a young man might find a snack?"
