Captain Caspian Trench, the dreaded Overlord of Darkport.
Just a quick sketch I did during class of what I think swap Caspian would look like. I wanted his outfit to look like a combination of both Price's and Caspians regular outfits, and I thought instead of Reuben's massive crow-based jacket I'd give Trench a massive crocodile skin coat.
I'm not entirely sure what I'd have to match Gill's fishhook earring so I just put a fishing spear tip.
However what I'm most excited for is that hook 👀. In this AU Caspian became a fast friend of Gill, looking out for each other in a world that hated the Undersea folks. Being too young to venture out into the ocean they stayed on the island, slowly forming a group of other young misfits and odd ones not accepted by the islands inhabitants. Eventually once this group started to look more like a gang, Gill realised far too late that his friend had become corrupt with power. Being a paladin Gill felt that Caspian's actions went against his oath, and promptly blew up the place, running away from the island leaving the place in ruins.
Instead of his eye, Caspian ended up losing his hand in the explosion, having to replace it with a hook (I was so close to calling him Captain Hook ngl). I like to imagine that once they meet again Captain Trench as he would then be known as would force Gill to lend him a hand. His replacement appendage which I'll draw up eventually is almost a cross between flesh and machine, an Artificer gauntlet said to use the flesh and bones of a Leviathan. It's fingers are large slashing hooks, and in the centre of its palm it can shoot a dangerous laser beam that radiates with purple magic.
Next time I draw him I def wanna show more scars from the explosion, I'm just not sure how I'd show that on a water Genasi.
