I think as far as Valentine's Day's gifts go, Will likes very traditional, corny, stereotypical romantic stuff--red roses and heart shaped chocolate boxes and the occasional cute stuffed animal. And I think he's deeply embarrassed of this because of internalized homophobia and a reflexive disdain over his own wishes, and so he'd never ask for any of these things openly. Fortunately I also think Chance pays a lot of attention and so he notices the way Will's eyes flicker with a certain longing when they pass by a Valentine's display at the mall, so he's more than happy to shower Will with the corny stuff--he intends to start out slow to ease him into it but he gets too excited because spoiling Will is all he wants but Will rarely gives open instructions on how he'd like to be spoiled--so he will end up buying a massive bouquet and a ridiculous giant stuffed animal and a lifetime supply of reese's pieces and when he gives him all of that Will's eyes start shining and he's blinking a lot so Chance goes "oh no, too much?" but Will shakes his head because it's perfect, he loves it.

and I headcanon Chance is a monster lover and a horror fan who has repressed these traits to fit in because they're Weird, but he's become more comfortable with them recently and it's something he and Will bond over--Chance's favorite movie is Alien and he's fascinated by the xenomorph's design, which leads Will to introduce him to macabre art leading Chance to become a massive H. R. Giger fan. Chance is also a bit of a dork and the combination of these traits means HIS preferred Valentine's Day's gifts are like. those corny punny cards that feature stuff like someone being eaten by a facehugger and the caption "I love hugging you :)" but of course Will wouldn't buy any of these, so he makes them himself! and he's always worried that he pushed it too far and made something truly too weird for even Chance to enjoy (heart shaped photo realistic portrait of the Split Face from The Thing), but that's never the case, Chance is always like "oh my god that looks so awesome, I LOVE it," and in the future he'll put it on their fridge which does give anyone who comes over a little bit of pause but Will doesn't mind
