I'm not trying to confront you here can you explain why Virgos aren't perfectionists? I'm just curious.
I know you’re not! I was expecting someone to ask me why, haha. Here’s my take on why Virgos aren’t perfectionists.
Virgos aren’t perfectionists, but they’re definitely efficiently practical. I feel that nowadays, society ties efficient practicality to perfection and due to that, people can get confused and tie perfectionism to Virgo when really, they’re not. Virgo doesn’t aim for perfection, they aim for excellence. There is a difference.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury. Mercury is the planet of intelligence, logic, and the mind. Mercury rules over objective thinking, yet perfection is subjective. Everybody has a different take on perfection. It doesn’t make sense to match a logical sign to something that’s not very logical in the first place. Like I said, Virgo is a sign that goes for excellence, not perfection. Perfection is excellence that goes beyond logical constructs. Perfection isn’t always logically sound.
With that being said, where can you find the signs who are perfectionists? Through Venus. Venus, in its essence, rules the ideal. Venus is usually always known to rule your sense of beauty, love, and comforts. All of those things are actually products of your ideals. Venus is a standard, and it isn’t always logical like Mercury. With that being said, Libra and Pisces would actually be the perfectionists. With perfection, you idealize, and idealizations aren’t always practical. Libra and Pisces will usually strive for perfection - and they may not always take reality into account.
Lastly, Virgo is an Earth sign. Virgo is grounded. Virgo is realistic, and they know the ways of the world - after all, they’ve created efficient routines because they know the mechanisms of everyday life. They’ve perfected their routines not because they’re perfectionists themselves, but because they are highly intelligent in physical matters. With that being said, Virgos know that perfectionism can’t survive in reality. That is why Virgos aren’t perfectionists. They know that perfection doesn’t exist… After all, if perfection did exist, they wouldn’t naturally rule the 6th House. If perfection did exist, there wouldn’t be a need for routine, a need for everyday activities. If life was perfect, there wouldn’t be a need to manage it in the first place, and what does Virgo rule?
The management of life because there is a strong awareness that perfection doesn’t exist.
