“Yes. Crazy...” Of course he’s SEEN a hamburger before, but for some reason the way she speaks so highly of them absolutely irks him. Unfortunately, the snickering officers accompanying Schmidt found his ‘stuck up’ demeanor to make the whole ‘Americana’ experience all the more entertaining. “Tell me, miss, have you anything decidedly less... greasy?” He tries at a small smile, it’s not pretty.

Let’s not take this out of context please. He was not villainized for doing this. He was criticized for killing the Red Skull when specifically told NOT to kill him once he was apprehended by several people due to the potential consequence of unleashing ‘Red Onslaught’, a super evil being created from the amalgamation of Red Skull and Charles Xavier’s psyche. Ignoring this, Magneto killed him and unleashed that entity, starting what would go on to be a long and destructive conflict.  He very much DID endanger the world.

Let’s not forget that HYDRA was basically made because at that point and time in history the Nazi’s were irrelevant to our country’s safety so a new group with fascist ideologies was needed. So, I mean, what’s the point? Comics are so stupid now. I say we all just jump in a time machine and fly back to the 80s. 

the whole fucking POINT of captain America’s creation as not only a symbol of hope and perseverance for our country- but a big middle finger to Hitler and the rest of his goons. Way to ignore that. Way to fucking say that this character, invented by two jewish writers as a way to stick it to a very serious threat and source of great prejudice towards them at the time, was with a fascist organization from the very get go ALL FOR THE SAKE OF EDGE OR SOMETHING.
