"I suppose the polite thing to do would be to greet visitors, though I really have no desire to do so. I am capable for being polite, if nothing else. So hello."
( *follows some people then slinks back into obscurity* )
"They mean nothing to me." He said, shrugging slightly. "Another living, breathing creature. As there are many on earth."
She smiled widely. “There are so many different ones, yes and each one is special in it’s own way!”
Each bright optimistic word was like molasses uncomfortably landing on his head, and slowly pouring and dripping though his hair, leaving sticky trails- Over all a very unpleasant feeling. Roderich smile neatly evaporated. "Sure." was the deadened reply.
Another night. Another night where the moon hangs in the sky. Most places its beautiful- barren. Just the night skies and stars- so far away, burning, burning bright
Dying.
It was another night after another day- Billions of lives went on- the privileged, the poor- the dumb, deaf and blind- the dying and those who had lost the will to live long ago, pushing though another night.
Each one of those lives- intelligent or not- flying, grounded, or somewhere between- they were all afraid of something. He knew that.
Everyone was afraid of something.
"Myth? I thought we were both sporting irrelevant penguin facts."
"Any fact about penguins is always relevant! Penguins hold a special place in my heart!"
"They mean nothing to me." He said, shrugging slightly. "Another living, breathing creature. As there are many on earth."
"And did you know that the adult emperor penguin will not fight as hard to protect an unwell chick from predators as it would for a healthy chick?"
[He looks like Chastity]
What!? No way, all baby penguins are to be treasured! I’m sure that is a myth.

Did you known Emperor Penguin’s can stay under water for 20 minutes at a time.
"And did you know that the adult emperor penguin will not fight as hard to protect an unwell chick from predators as it would for a healthy chick?"
His hands are uncovered and he is visibly annoyed. “There had better be a rather good reason for your coming here. I don’t much appreciate guests in my home.”
The only reason Alfred came in this house was to see if there was something of value he could sell for a high price. Though he couldn’t tell that to the owner of the house that. Now to come up with somewhat of a believable lie. Thinking quickly, he cleared his throat lightly, and asked in the most innocent voice he possibly could, “Y’call fer a repair guy?”
"No, I did not." He said, very plainly. "I have never needed one." He placed his book down gently. "Is there an actual reason you’re here or should we continue this conversation like I am ignorant?"
Damn. Seemed like his lie wouldn’t work on this guy. But it didn’t hurt to try. He kept playing that ignorant card, and scratched the back of his head, ”Y’sure? Coulda swore this was the address.”
"I'm sure." He continued to stare right into the other before he started to narrow his eyes. "Anything else?"
"My area of expertise covers all beings." He said. "Human or not. Its just something instilled in every conscious being."
"Ah, so you are what I suspected you to be then. Yes, you have a point that all creatures feel fear. Some of us just have a better handle on it."
"Right." He said, but said it to the point where it might have edged on sarcasm. Still, he nodded his head once. "If there is nothing else we have to converse about, I still have someone to find."
Frederick bowed his head and nodded. “May today be a pleasant one, demon.” He didn’t wait for a response befire disappearing. He only went up into a tree, high enough that he couldn’t be seen but could still keep an eye on the demon.
He only stood there with a small sigh for a small moment before moving on. The human he was looking for was near by- they were gaining a new fear today, he supposed he didnt have to be there, but it was a formality, and he could always make the fear worse.
The little things in life made it worth it, somewhat.
His hands are uncovered and he is visibly annoyed. “There had better be a rather good reason for your coming here. I don’t much appreciate guests in my home.”

Penny had bump into man, " Oh sorry, sir. I don't see you there."
"Such a haphazard and potentially dangerous mistake. I would advise you to possibly watch your step for the future."
Penny weak giggle, ” I will, sir.” She wonder, ” I did hurt you, sir?”
"Hurt me? No." He said with a shake of his head. "I am not hurt."

Well If you don’t mind i’m a little busy
"Ew, he says." He spoke plainfully. These humans these days- Much more brazen and forward than they were before, in some ways. What happened to the good old days of supernatural-fearing men and women of the masses?
"It is not I that has interrupted your… meeting with this fellow." He said very simply, glancing over the possible corpse. "It is you who is killing on the same path I happen to be taking." He continued to speak, adjusting his gloves. "So you will be the one to move, I suppose."
Well I’m not moving, and you can listen to these nice little sounds as I make this man suffer.
"Sounds I'm sure I've all heard before." He said very matter of fact. The human life was so fragile, ending it meant nothing to him. Many, many humans were afraid of death; he was basically desensitized to it.
