Day 4 - Library/Books / New Game+

You wake up in a library that's empty of people. Your only companion is your classmate Akki.

You decide to explore the seemingly abandoned school with him.

I actually have no idea if I'm understanding the prompt right but the idea's loosely based on this fanmade VN.

The concept is that Akki slowly gains memories of himself as he talks with the 'player'.

Depending on the choices made, the school changes in accordinace with the updates in Akki's mind.

In the end, there's always something that happens to the 'player', causing the game to restart with an Akki that's slightly different than before.

so.. what abt miwa’s backstory anyway. there’s barely any clues. Police commissioners son? sus but okay. has a motorcycle in the S3 ed that looks suspiciously like Kourins that he was scared of in S1 (I practically am writing an essay about that btw). Does he just exist? where did he even come from

So while I do have my own personal thoughts on this matter I might share on a later date, I want to correct a misconception; the police commissioner son line was about Kai. Miwa said Kai was connected and the underground fighter said Kai did look like the poilce commissioner.

also Kais parents r totally dead and he says fuck the police so idk why they’d bring that up (ofc not everyone knows that but)🧐🧐🧐 also in girs crisis Miwa has that funny vanguard cop outfit so would that be a callback?

yeah Miwa says he’s (Kai specifically) connected but he doesn’t elaborate on that much at all and he doesn’t exactly seem truthful. Miwa knows Kai isn’t actually “connected” in any way so he probably wouldn’t have had the police in mind at all, probably some kind of gang mentality. Bloods and crips also it’s acknowledged that the gang guy making the claim was not to be taken seriously anyway

idk if it’s an entire misconception lol, but maybe its something to make personal assumptions/decisions about. It’s definitely something to speculate on but there’s no real reason he would or would not have said Kai looked like the police commissioners son instead of Miwa. It’s definitely fun to analyze this silly little show tho

I mean typically in situations like underground fights you never look too closely at your opponent and considering Kai’s age one could also assume from their perspective that Kai just looked like a dumb kid getting in over his head (kids that think they’re all that and end up in seedier places not fully understanding how different they are from more law abiding areas), you might recognize things like hair color but never really look too closely at them

Also the poilce thing was meant as a bluff is what I’m saying. Miwa left it opened so by just scanning Kai’s face it would register whoever matched (brown hair and other features) to the underground guys (he wanted to scare them away from Kai so he tried to get them to think of powerful people and since they are technically doing something illegal their minds went to cops).

I suppose he could have directed at Miwa (seeing Miwa and registering Kai as a friend of the commissioner’s son) but that feels off to me. I won’t argue though since we don’t really get much for Miwa backstory (which is a crime give the best boy a share).

I never really thought too deeply on the Police outfit I will admit, too busy staring at him

this does have me thinking about characters and their backstories which never get elaborated on. We should have a background character appreciation week or something

But I feel like a lot of Biden's actions for the Black community is performative activism.

Like when he originally proposed put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill when he was VP. I talked to my Black friends about it (way more excited than I should have been), and they told me "That's great and all, but we're dealing with bigger problems than slave owners on our currency."

And like, I see it now. I feel like Black people are saying, "We're being so oppressed. We're being killed for our skin color. We being forced to live in poverty because of our skin color. You call the natural hair that grows out if out hair dirty. To make matters worse, you're putting symbols of our oppression on everything."

And the "woke" white people are like "So, what you're saying is you want Aunt Jemima off the syrup bottles."

And I just want to scream "NO! THEY WANT TO STOP BEING MURDERED BY POLICE! THEY WANT DOCTORS TO BELIEVE THEM! THEY WANT EQUAL ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES!"

It's like one of those couples fights where one partner is like, "Hey. You didn't kiss me goodbye this morning, and it ruined my whole day. Then it were in a bad mood when you came home, and that upset me more." But all the other partner hears is like "Don't be in a bad mood when you get home" when what they really asked for is, "I don't feel loved enough without my goodbye kiss. "

Idk. I don't speak for Black people here. That's just my take on it based on the Black people I spoke to about it in 2012, and I'm only bringing it up because it really looks like Biden is going the route of half-assed activism again.

I’m old. And experienced. I’ve never lost a fight, I’ve been all over the multiverse and am still exploring, the knowledge I possess is incredible, I’m nearly 7’ tall and very strong… need I go on? I don’t love Lance I love Matt, and my baby brother is a mini me. There’s a long and detailed list on why I’m so different, best thing you can do is just accept it and move on.
