Welcome to the ATLA Fandom Bulletin! Inspired by KNYfanbulletin over on Twitter, this blog aims to keep up with all of the fanzines, character/ship weeks, exchanges, and big bangs in the Avatar: the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra community!

We will also be hosting and sponsoring giveaway events of fanzines and merchandise here and on Twitter!

Hello all.

There's been a lot of silence on our socials, and we wanted to make an official update. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are not able to distribute the zine or its associated merch, and will not be holding leftover sales.

Buyers have been informed of the project's status in our previous email updates, and refunds were arranged.

Contributors will be allowed to share the pieces they made for this fan project, so we highly encourage everyone to follow our talented people to see their wonderful creations. Any questions can be further directed to our email [email protected] and we will seek to officially shut down our social pages on November 30th.

Leftover sales for Journeys: A Zutaraang Zine are now open! This will be the final opportunity to grab your favourite items from the Zutaraang zine! As there is very limited stock leftover of each item, all items are listed individually and there are no bundles. However, there is no extra shipping charge for multiple items. 

Featuring 16 artists and 10 writers, this zine contains 50+ pages of exclusive zutaraang content. Follow Zuko, Katara, and Aang together across their lives as they journey towards each other, through AUs and post-canon adventures — as friends, lovers, soulmates, world leaders, wedding guests, and more.

Profits will benefit ILGA World: the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association.

Sales will be open for a month (until December 15th) or until stocks run out.

An Update from the Team:

Hello everyone. First, we apologize for the delay. This is a bit of information on our shipping situation:

Our shipping mod, Miles, has been MIA for several months. Pings and DMs from mods, contributors, and others we’ve reached out to who’ve been in contact with them have been unanswered. With the lack of updates, we have to figure out an alternative plan if we want to ensure this project can continue.

A contributor participating in another zine with Miles also serving as shipping mod received word that the mod team of that zine plans to collect the remaining stock for another mod to handle shipping, and has asked them if they’d be willing to pick up ours so we can figure out a new approach to shipping. With the news that they weren’t able to contact Miles, we’re now trying to figure out what can be done next. We’ll keep you updated as the situation progresses.

October 9th, 2021: Hello customers! Here is some more news on what's been going on since our last update. We sincerely apologize for the lack of updates the past two months - we've been experiencing a stall in progress behind the scene, which we'll be detailing below. Thank you all so much for your patience!

🔥 Production status:

Card Decks: has finally arrived in September!! And they look incredibly beautiful, omigosh. Please do bask in the lovely pics above! Unfortunately, despite the high-quality shipping service we purchased, the packaging was not well padded and thus a fair amount of the decks were bent. Avatar Miles had let us know they were going to contact the suppliers to see what could be done.

Guidebook, Notebook, Stickersheets, Poster, Tattoo, Charm, Wooden Pin, Diecut Sticker: all arrived! see previous updates for pics.

🔥 Avatar Miles:

Unfortunately... Miles has been unresponsive since September 5th. We wanted to wait for them to provide us with updates before posting an Avatar Announcement, hence the delay, but weeks have passed and nothing. They truly are not one to ghost without reason and have been well responsive before that, so we're afraid something dire has happened to them, and hope they are okay. We've notified them to send the items to Lee by end of October. Should we not receive them by then, we have enough funds to repurchase the items, perhaps with expedited shipping to speed up the process. We know this is frustrating, particularly after the long production period we already have. Please know the mods are also feeling quite defeated by this turn of events and are really just pushing to make the best out of this situation. We're doing as much as we can to recover. We hope to provide good news on the next Avatar Announcements on Oct 31st!
