"You have" a nod, not quite a frosty reception but not open in her words or body language . After all, the girl was only doing her job, but Katherine wasn't about to spill her guts either. "Chances are you won't be seeing him around here again"

Realizing how ominous that sounded, Katherine looked up, "He didn't die or anything. We simply won't be here anymore."

Great. So much for keeping her troubles to herself.

Attempting to recover, Katherine appraised the strawberry cake.

"This looks different. Is the chef using a different kind of cream?" skeptical, but willing to try. This cafe rarely went wrong on their coffee and sweets.

A press of red lips, trying her best not to snicker. Given how badly her shoulders were shaking, it was a close call for Noriko.

"That's more than I wanted to know about Hanamura-kun, nevertheless you are correct!" the teacher chirped.

However, Noriko doubted his grasp of the subject at hand the more he talked.

"...yeah, I'm not paling around a bunch of teenagers. I have standards."

"Such a busy, industrious young man! I've heard you're part of a sports team, now you want a job?"

"Guys like to put up pictures of pretty women on their walls, because it helps ease isolation, but...having one stand in front of you, in the flesh is better!"
