The critism that "asagiri is a bad writer" does not bode well with me because he really isn't. Every chapter he is analyzing the human nature, political and philosophical debates and ideas, and yes, could the story be paced better? Yea. But he has other elephants to address like "is war inherent to humanity?" (Very common philosophical question in polisci) And "is the humanity's extinction of common life aspects and experiences, especially experiences which r uncomfortable (powers) really a good idea?" (This is transhumanism lmaooo). And the stance of the story being staunchly antiwar and violence is very well done. So, I will give him his flowers all the time.
