Yet another victim of a codependent homoerotic teenage friendship

Best friend saved her from suicide only to die like a week later

Made a contract with an alien to exchange her soul for magical time powers so she could save her friend

Forced to relive her best friend dying over and over again

Lived the same month for 10 years

Discovered that even if magical girls don’t die, their souls eventually turn them into evil monsters called Witches

Accidentally made her best friend the most powerful Witch of all time

Best friend eventually breaks the time loop by becoming a literal god and vanishing from the physical plane

Forgot her best friend

Started hallucinating her friend after she disappeared

Her grief created a pocket dimension where she and her friends could be happy

Ended up breaking the illusion herself

Becomes a witch after being driven to madness from her grief and unrequited love

When her friend comes down as a god, she steals her power and becomes the devil

Creates an entirely new timeline where her friend can be happy and normal, but they can never truly be together

Forced to fight his own twin brother without realizing who he is

Forced to reawaken the sleeping dragon under the island that will end the world

Forced to attack his father

Eventually faces his brother down again after his brother realizes who he is

Regains his memories and realizes that he’s fighting his brother

Uses his brother’s medallion that can reflect lightning magic to kill himself with his own attack

Dies in his own brother's arms

I have a lot of feelings about April Fools turning 10 this year but I'll try to keep it concise. Above all, thank you for listening all these years, there's really no way to adequately express how grateful I am. I really try to be a person who is even halfway worthy of such a gift. I'm grateful too that so many people have felt understood listening to the bad ugly time I had. I've had more ugly times since then but on the whole I have experienced more beauty and love than I thought possible for myself when I made this. If I could speak directly to anyone who found April Fools during a hard time, I would want them to know that beauty and love is an inevitably in their future too. Life is long. Let's keep doing our best! ❤️🎂🎈

I've never seen a single soul talk about Owen Otto's music & its quite sad because his music is pretty good. In particular, Lorem Ipsum is up there among my favorite albums.

The only way to listen to this album is to going to Owen's defunct blog from 2007, so let me add the download link here real quick for those that havent listened to it in full yet.

If you dont know, Owen Otto was a friend of Logan and fellow bandmate in Little Tin Frog and from a online perspective, they seemed close. If your a Logan fan that wants to expand their music a bit, please listen to this album!! it has a commemorative song of Logan too (presumably made around 2006-07) and its heartbreaking.

This album is so beautiful simple and down-to-earth. Every time i put this album on it makes me cry at least on 2 separate occasions.

My favorite track I'd say is Medication and Lorem Ipsum.

Its so perfectly vibey and melancholic with the combination of acoustic guitar, soft voice and the primitive drum machine & synths. I really like how Owen addresses his song subjects through his lyricism it all feels so real.

Having a album that feels so very authentically human especially in our modern age really hits home for me.
