So hereās a photo of some flowers on a sunny dayā¦
The world isnāt so bad after all
Flashback to 6th December 2020: So on this, our final day, we witnessed the magical spectacle of the Red Crab Spawning where 100,000 eggs are released with a little dance or two! Plus we did the challenging hike from Territory Day Park to Tai Jin House. š¦
Flashback from 5th December 2020: Yesterday we were meant to be back in Perth but due to two flight cancellations, we're here till at least Monday! So we revisited Dolly Beach and were rewarded with countless Robber, Blue Crabs + two female Red Crabs with eggs. Maybe we can witness the spawning! Such a wonderful treasure only accessible from WA ā„š¦
Imagined Characters Argentina-based illustrator Sofia Bonati creates beautiful portraits of women with black-and-white linework, foliage, and abstract geometries behind them.
A flashback from 2nd December 2020: Today's weather changed on us but our early wake up was rewarded with lots of crabs following decent rainfall! Highlights include saving stuck/crossing crabs, Waterfall Bay, Blue Tailed Skinks at Pink House & the world's only Crab Bridge š¦
Great hikes, great food, great sights. So much to enjoy here, should we come back to Perth? š¤
Today's adventures began with two Red Crabs on our porch, an instant sign to explore the Galapagos of Australia. šØš½š¦ š¦
Ghost crabs, deserted Island jungles, colourful coral, turtles and more crabs. It's been way too short but an absolute pleasure to enjoy this pristine tropical paradise. See you soon from another WA gem šš š š¦
So here's a snapshot of Cocos Malay paradise, truly stunning and worth visiting. Absolutely tranquil and beautiful. šØšØ
And finally a wrap up from the August 2020 adventures through Karijini, including Kalamina Gorge, Dales Gorge, Fern Pool, Hamersley Gorge and Mt Bruce at dawn.
Karijini. Do it.
First highlights include Weano Gorge, Hancock Gorge, Handrail Pool, Kermits Pool & Joffre Falls. Three Class-5 trails in two days is a decent effort āŗ This is Australia's jewel.
Exmouth has so many highlights, definitely coming back. We did some birdwatching from Mangrove Bay, checked out what Mauritius Access was all about š and continued our journey east, staying at the welcoming Cheela Plains, dreaming beneath the starry night skies above š
Relaxation continued at the picturesque Turquoise Bay, as well as colourful snorkelling with fish, a sting ray and octopus, just metres from the shore.
So, there was a special little getaway adventure that took place from my birthday to finish August 2020, but there was little time for uploads and patchy reception, so here are some highlights... Before the next adventure!
This one is the delightful Osprey Bay on a Friday and my first swim with a turtle in crystal clear waters āŗ Total relaxation.
