Final Thoughts
It’s been a whirlwind of emotions now that it’s been a week since I’ve returned from London. With the exhaustion from an insane amount of walking and jetlag, I haven’t had the attention span to come down and write. The week was long, arduous, but fulfilling and rich. Walking 7-10 miles a day really got to me, but seeing the architecture, the art, the scenery, the people and the greenery made it all worth it.
Going to London after dreaming about going since I was a little kid was everything I hoped it would be. Going through the biggest parts of London in a week made me see the vastness and how big the city is and how it’s continuing its growth. The tube system is spectacular and perhaps better than the subway system in NYC. It was phenomenal going to the Globe to see Romeo and Juliet (which I’m still amazed by) and the Tower of London was breathtaking (since I love learning about history, it’s always great to walk through history itself).
London is such a beautiful and magnificent city and what struck me most was the beauty of the different languages I heard constantly throughout each day of the trip. It made me feel right at home seeing people from all walks of life walk through the same street.
This trip was worth it and I wouldn’t change the memories I’ve made for the world. This has only scratched the itch of the grand plans I have of returning again.
