Me!!! Also it makes it seem like Gladstone and Donald are living together! When did that happen? And it doesn't look like it's on the Boathouse either. Drop your headcanons down below!
YES !!! I'm so glad someone pointed this out. 😁
I headcanon that after the spear of Selene, Gladstone inserts himself into Donald's life as an attempt to be supportive. But Glad won't put down his stupid boasting mask and Donald is waaay too stubborn to accept any kind of help (especially from his least favorite family member right after losing the two closest people in his life.) Donald insists on finding a job, despite Gladstone not so subtly trying to give away some of his unearned wealth. The communication is terrible and they have a huge fight about it, ending with Gladstone walking out for good. Only having awkwardly tense holiday reunions bc the kids love Gladstone so much. Something Donald absolutely resents.
I also think Gladstone 100% took this picture 😭💔
How do you think these kids feel after seeing dead bodies in the cave? I feel like for Dewey and Webby they don't think - at least not in these early episodes - about their mortality but I 100% think Huey does. I think that Louie is in the same mindset - albeit he didn't see the bodies but if he had I think it would have made him very weary to this trip and afterwards.
Huey: "Sometimes, the bravest thing an explorer can do is walk away."
Honestly what a cool message they do in the NINTH episode of the show. I feel like with adventure shows a failure of an adventure would be like a season finale but Ducktales eats these lessons for a snack. ALSO, do you think this is the closest Scrooge has even gotten to therapy?
Scrooge: He became the man to make it the farthest up the mountain... Now, he's the second farthest.
Webby: Wait, he's written something out on the wall here.
Dewey: "Curse you, McDuck."
Scrooge: Ah jengs. If I had a nickle for every person who cursed me with their dying breath, I'd be twice as rich as I already am.
Scrooge is so devious!!! Literally no reaction at all is crazy work. Then bragging about *probably* causing death to so many people, damn guys his kill count is probably so high.
Scrooge: Last thing we need on this trip is a bunch of Neverrest Ninnies.
Huey: I thought you said that was a myth.
Scrooge: Just because it's a myth doesn't mean it's not true.
Huey: Well actually -
Webby's life goals list on the first page includes: - Pilot Airplane - Sledding - High Five a Brontosaurus
And do you know who could help her pilot an airplane in the future????
Side note: my girl has never gone sledding??? It's snows in Ducktales?? I mean it does for the Christmas episodes even through irl in California next to the ocean I think it rarely snows but for the scenery of the show they show snow so why hasn't she sled!
First mention of the Santa Claus!!! Doomed Yaoi off the bat!!!!
Mount Never-rest get it?? It's like Mount Everest but you're never gonna get through it!
His ordering scene reminds me of the Tim Robinson sketch...
HIMBO DOWN
Aw he loves her <3
Webby: I never thought I'd die in a pit of spikes. I mean, I always hoped.
Your honour, I love her.
Love when Scrooge cares about the wellbeing of others. Also calling Webby Webbigail is really cute.
Dewey: Mummies! :)
Wonder why he likes mummies so much... she haunts the narrative.
Episode 1.8: The Living Mummies of Toth-Ra!
