could i please have some prayers said for me, if it’s not too much? i’m joining my first ever catholic church this sunday for all soul’s day and i’m very nervous, since i’ve only been to low stakes, very chill quaker churches before.
If you're catholic (or maybe a christian in general) you need to feel specially bad when an evil person dies. Worse than when a good person dies. Genuinely and not performativelly bad. Dying in sin and going to hell is the greatest tragedy.
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to heaven especially those who are in most need of Your mercy. Amen.
That's the whole point.
Pray for the conversion of sinners, pray for the souls in pugatory.

Frank Miller’s iconic vision of Batman’s future went poorly for Selina Kyle, who ended up as the lonely matron of a high end escort service. It was the first of several troubling depictions of Selina/Catwoman from Miller, and this scene with the Joker soon escalated into a brutal assault that left Selina battered and hogtied. Even worse, this assault was wholly in the service of furthering Batman’s story; he ended up battling the Joker to the death soon after, fueled by his anger over his cruel treatment of Selina. She didn’t appear again until the end of the series, and had no further role in the book.
