Surviving the treadmill
Also known as the dreadmill --
I have a love/hate relationship with running on treadmills. First of course there’s the fan/ac in the gym which I don’t have in the suffocating heat that is outside lately. Also I love the control over speed/incline, and I definitely push myself more because if I don’t keep up I will FALL OFF and die probably. However I’m trying to get back into longer, steady-state runs instead of just doing like HIIT after my lifts and MAN can it get boring. After 3k I’m already like ok when do I get off this thing. Maybe I need to invest in better playlists. Gotta find SOMETHING to keep me going.
But anyway today after lifting I ran 5k and in an okay time and didn’t completely feel like dying so :) progress!
sometimes you run bad races & wish it would have gone differently but that’s when it’s time to jam out to Kanye West on your cool down & just run free

Kicking off this shiny new sideblog today!
I’m about to travel for a week so maybe I should have waited until I got back so there’s actually some activity on here... but whatever, I feel good today!
Had an 8am which I was only slightly late for, then went to the gym and did legs, my fave day. Also ran 5k on the treadmill which felt good after almost a week off after getting my wisdom teeth out.
Currently procrastinating packing but looking forward to going out tonight and then finally catching my flight tomorrow morning! I’ve been waiting since April for this trip.
SOLID START so here’s to me actually using this space in the future and making progress!
