Though nothing was said to Him face to face What wondrous conversation occured behind the curtain of the heart! -Abida Parveen
train your mind to be stronger than your feelings
يس كل شيء في القلب يقال، لذلك خلق الله التنهيدة، الدموع، النوم الطويل، الإبتسامة الباردة ورجف اليدين.
Not everything in the heart can be said, so God created sigh, tears, long sleep, cold smile and shivering of hands.
- Nizar Qabbani

A short rant:
Never justify your poor behavior and disregard of others by blaming it on fate.
God gave you the freedom of choice; when you go back on your words, when you’re inconsiderate, and when you hurt others, that is your choice, it becomes fate because you made it so, not the other way around. It adds too much insult to injury when you tell someone you hurt “subhanAllah, that’s how God wanted things to go”. That type of rhetoric creates a lot of pain for those who receive it as it would make them feel that God wanted this for them, that they deserve to be hurt, when in fact they’re hurt because you messed up and are trying to make yourself feel better by blaming it on fate.
Words matter. Words are the interpretation of our hearts and souls. Mind what you say to others for you are responsible for your words. Words can start wars or broker peace, they can soften hardened hearts, or harden soft ones. They can light up the world, or darken the soul. Words have meaning. Words matter.
““…and when they are angry, they forgive.””
— An attribute of a believer mentioned in the Quran, Surah al-Shooraa (42:37).
“Don’t get too attached. You and I are merely travellers. Our foot prints will fade and so will peoples memory of us. لا تتعلق كثيرا. أنا وأنت لسنا سوى عابري سبيل. آثار خطواتنا ستتلاشى، مثلها مثل ذكريات الناس بشأننا”

Disagreements are fine. Disrespect is not. Distance is fine. Disloyalty is not.
Dear modern Muslim, Maybe instead of focusing on being “true to yourself,” try being true to Allah and his messenger ﷺ.
As salaamu alaykum
This year help me feed the needy by donating your sadaqah and zakaat towards displaced Syrian families. Amongst them are widows and orphans, all who rely on people like us to remember them and provide them with some charity so they can have their next meal.
The charity will distribute food in the last 10 days of Ramadan in sha Allah. Each food box costs £49 pounds and you can see what it contains below. No amount is too small so if you can't afford the £49 don't worry, every penny counts! Your intention is with Allah as well as your reward.
