End of Video
At the end of the ad i would of liked to synchronise the build up’s drop to the frame where the main characters face disappears but i was unable to due to time and footage.

End of Video
At the end of the ad i would of liked to synchronise the build up’s drop to the frame where the main characters face disappears but i was unable to due to time and footage.
I used the video previously mentioned about lens flares to help me create the title cards
To create the skip button i simply just used shapes and an image. To simulate the count down i made each number appear on screen for one second.
To get each clip for my video i had taken the entire film in to Premiere and used the Mark in/Mark out tools to carefully select each point of the clip.
Music
I used the same technique to download the music.
Convert video files or videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion to many formats in HD quality. No software required, easy to use and totally free!
I used this website to download clips off YouTube.
First Problem
I tried first creating my video in Adobe Premiere Pro but i kept getting problems when it came to the commission and creating simple visuals for some of my clips. After running into so many problems i dcided to create my entire video in Adobe Aftereffects.
Title Cards
I found a great video to help me produce my title cards.
Start and end of the trailer
End how it starts. i wish to start the trailer with the clip of it tilting up the building with the main character on the ledge. To end i want to show a close up of the main character on the ledge. By doing this i hope to rope people in by hopefully making them question why he's up on the edge of a ledge. Then throughout the middle of the trailer i wish to show how he gets to that stage of his life.
Title Cards within the ad
Ive done some research into the film and have found out there was also a t.v series made based on on the film and the trailer for the t.v series gave me inspiration on how to create the title cards. i wish to create them with just the little effect of lens flares around the text as it fits visually with the film.
Tired of listening to music
After a long few hours of just listening to trailer music on Netflix I feel like i have come across something that i could potentially use for the ad.
First 5 seconds and last 5 seconds
My initial thought for the first 5 seconds is to show the traditional Netflix intro because it is well know and such a popular streaming services for its original content it would make the viewer invest their time to finish watching the ad.
For the last 5 seconds i could replay the traditional intro and add ‘coming to’ above the Netflix logo and a date it would be released underneath.
Film choice
As i don't have much time i have decided to create an advertisement for a film that will be coming to the popular streaming website Netflix. Im going to advertise the film Limitless because i know it really well.
Time Management!!!
I really need to start allowing myself more time to do my assignments. i would of been able to finish editing my video and the big 10 sequence but ended up taking the extra time and limiting myself to a pass because i didn't want to produce something that i wasn't happy with and rushed.
Learn the basics of how to sync audio and video sources in your video editing process.
I found this website and it has loads of information on how to sync audio to video and how to collect professional audio to.
Key information to collect professional audio for your video:
- One of the most crucial parts of recording sound is to make sure you have the right microphone for the occasion.
Weather - weather could interfere a lot when trying to collect audio, so you should always bring a muffler (wind screen) to block out dull noises.
Location - you will want to pick a location that has low sound pollution.
Before you start recording any audio, you should probably do some sound checks to see if you pick up any unwanted audio.
Next step
After looking into tips on editing i decided to look into sound synchronisation in editing.
Tips
Organisation is key. A little time spent on labelling can save loads of time looking for different sources.
