to jupiter and back
we have three kinds of actors when confronted about shipping
The one that prefers to be unaware of the shipping and distances themselves from it
The one that encourages shipping and is approving of it.
Whatever the fuck Shawn Hatosy is because why is 'mohabbot' the first thing he says when he is let near a mic. And don't even get me started on fucking Jupiter.
in all seriousness, what a ballsy, badass move for shawn hatosy to record for quinn.
over his very long career, heโs never had attention like heโs gotten over the past year, and heโs got the guts, the sense of self, and the appreciation for this moment to lean in and do something risky and vulnerable to capitalize on it. king shit.
โฆ.. I think Shawn Hatosy and Quinn might be single handedly trying to fix the timeline. Otherwise I have no idea how to explain how this is all happening.
BRO?!?!?! IM YELLING AT WORK!!!
I might actually die from this. This might actually kill me. I think this is how I perish.
What a way to go, though.
Can anyone tell me if itโs been definitively stated that Supriya will NEVER return? Iโm not an industry person so I donโt know shit about what the language they are using regarding their exit means, so in my dumb hopeful head it feels like they could guest at some point.

What's the tea on Noah Wyle?
i don't know. there's a lot of people right now who are saying a lot of things very definitively about him when the truth is that a lot of things right now lack certainty. supriya ganesh, a young southeast asian actress, found a meaningful and rare role in the character of samira mohan, and she quickly became a fan favorite. there was no real suggestion that this character was not returning for s3 in the writing of s1 and s2, so it came as quite a surprise when, on april 2nd, it was announced that she was not going to be in season three. with no doubt in my mind, i will say something foul occurred in the last month or two that resulted in this. whatever happened was not fair. the narrative that they are pushing out to the media is that this was an inevitability for the character that they had foreseen all along. this is particularly hard to believe, considering that shawn hatosy, who plays dr. abbot, admitted not knowing what was happening with this situation. if it was pre-planned, certainly someone who was at the table reads, and who had been in contact with supriya ganesh only a few month prior, would have know yeah? on top of that, supriya was set to appear at an event last night with the other cast members but pulled out, stating that she understood certain people had bought tickets to see her, and that she hoped they would understand it was not a decision she had made lightly.
where noah wyle comes to play in this is that he is the executive producer, writer and lead of the show this has all occurred on. consequently, because of his front facing position, i believe he has become somewhat of the scapegoat in this operation, taking a lot of the blows that have come from the backlash. and that's not entirely without justification; he sat there last night and dolled out a lame excuse about supriya/samira's exit was a natural occurrence due to the structure of their show and this steadfast dedication to realism that they have. he delivered what was almost a near copy and paste of what he said last year about tracy ifeachor's abrupt and much speculated about departure. it rang as untrue last night as it did the first time he said it. in doing this, he took a stance--and it wasn't a good one.
however, i really don't think noah wyle is to blame for this entire thing. supriya mentioned a scene in an interview that the audience did not get to see, but was one that noah wyle had very much written for her character. his episode was (i think?) one of the shortest of the season, and i don't think that was because he didn't write enough. i believe he did, but what he had written was for mohan and they cut it. it does seem that noah wyle had every intention of samira/supriya coming back. his character spends the season dogging on her, and i'm not sure that's something he would've committed to so wholly if he did not suspect at some point in the future that relationship would be mended.
Growing up in India, I never questioned my gender. When I moved to the U.S. at 18, I began to feel disconnected from my body.
A piece by Supriya Ganesh on being Indian in the entertainment industry, how that affects their gender identity, sexuality, and femininity.
These are just outtakes of a very important piece. I urge you to read the whole thing.

Canโt believe they only made one Shawn Hatosy.
They really underestimated how many Shawn Hatosys weโd need.
