I love it when Whumpee is leaning on things. They're dizzy, nauseous, in too much pain to stand, or just plain tired, and they can't get by without some kind of support.

Leaning on cabinets and against walls in people's houses. Propping their head up with their hands at the dining table. Steadying themself against a banister on the stairs. Holding on to the post of the traffic light for dear life while they wait to cross the road because if they stand still unsupported they will fall to the ground.

It's such a small display of I am not feeling good, but once another character notices it becomes so obvious. This person is weak and vulnerable. Either I can help them, or I can hurt them further. It's not like they're in any position to stop me.

I was just thinking about this last night.

Holding them against the wall as whumpee struggles with all their might not to beg for mercy.

Holding their breath so whumper doesn't hear them hyperventilate as they try to bear the pain.

Whumper grabbing their other wrist and pulling them down into a chair, where they finally ease up on the pressure a little bit.

Whumpee gasps as the burning pain of partial release mixes with the continued straining of their right wrist and elbow.

But whumper keeps just holding them there, and it takes everything in whumpee not to scream,

"What do you want?!"

An character threatening someone to demand medical care, holding them at gun or knife-point, but clearly so incapacitated by injury or illness that they pose very little actual threat, the threat more of a plea and the weapon brandished in a shaking hand as much to fend the other character off in fear as it is to coerce them, the character in need of care hardly able to even hold it let alone use it.

really nice gift for Specifically Me when the character has an immediate and violent panic response to being held down / physically restrained. especially if their affect is usually cheerful or relaxed or reserved and this is their one "sicko mode (wildly uncharacteristic)" button.

When a character bucks up or arches off the surface they're lying on in pain- no matter how limply they've been lying there, the sudden spike of pain has their muscles tensing and contracting to send them reflexively lurching up.
