I will never forget and forgive the time I randomly got my period (they’ve always been super irregular and heavy) on a lake trip with my dad and urgently needed pads. The only establishment in a 25 mile radius was a gas station and they did sell pads, off-brand pads that were like cardboard. I got back into the car with my bottom tier thick as fuck uncomfortable pads feeling like garbage and my dad preceded to bitch me out about how expensive the pads were and how I should have planned better and brought some or WAITED until we could make it to the distant grocery store where pads were more affordable. All while we were in his brand new truck. I remember being 15 years old and having a “Hmm. Fuck you. I will remember this forever.” moment. He was also mad at me that weekend because I was not interested in getting in the water and doing other lake activities because I cannot use tampons and I was crampy. Grown man, by the way. Grown man who has dated many many women because he is a fucking slut. OOOOOH it STILL GETS ME HEATED TO THINK ABOUT IT.
