I've been spending three days in my home. Nothing but resting since I've been dealing, if I could say, with the worst fever in my whole life. Whenever it comes to fever, it always takes like half to a whole day for me to get healed especially if I take my usual Decolgen.
I guess there is more story to these three days I have spent.
I won a preview ticket to the biggest book bazaar, Big Bad Wolf, which would grant me an preview pass to the bazaar the day before the official opening. Yep, the preview session is held today and I couldn't come due to my health condition. Sad, isn't it?
Well... if I were still who I used to be, I might be that sad and somehow annoyed by my own condition. Maybe, I'd likely to force myself to go to the event even if my condition isn't 100% okay.
However, some things have changed... and one of them comes to my sense now, in this rainy day at the end of February
My health. My condition. My needs over my 'wants'.
Although I might be happy to visit the preview session in the bazaar today, I always keep telling myself that "I still have another days to go..."
That kind of thinking somehow happens to another things.
When I miss him, it's no longer about how I want to contact him anymore. Although the pain he left for me still lingers as much as the feeling I have for him still stands strong, I am arrived at the point where I say to myself,
"It's enough for now, let's stop, take a breath, and move forward again,"
I know that my point of view about happiness has changed a lot since that day. I no longer feel that much happy or sad whenever I feel happy or sad.
It's been like in a void.
However, it's a 'good' void, I think. A void that feels like an infinite space and time. It gives me a chance to think, a room to pray, and a shoulder to acknowledge my own emotions.
This void manifests into this kind of thinking like I said above. It lets me to let myself, to prioritize myself first. It gives me clarity to weigh anything in that happens to my life even if it's about small, daily stuffs.
For the first time in my life, this void of mine also gives me a "I have no idea what I will be and what I am going to do in the future".
It's kind of giving me the vibe that "I live for today". I tend to see now that future is shaped by who we are and what we are doing today. It's continuation of the "today" we're living.
Maybe, that's why... I stop making such a detail long-term plan for my personal goals (well... I still make one for my professional, career-based projects).
Such a different 'me' compared to who I used to be, but I don't mind.
However, I believe this change strengthens me... and, I wish this is for good.
