I put this worksheet together a bit back when I had the privilege of teaching some cool young people. Everyone has their own unique way of learning facial anatomy, but for me I found that the Reilly abstraction and those rhythm lines crystallized everything for me! If you’re having difficulty understanding this stuff, I hope this helps out.

Still don't know WTF I'm doing with these supplies, but they're definitely more fun in practice than in storage. Scribbling on black cardstock with semi-hard pastels, watercolor pencils, white charcoal pencil, a couple of Prismacolors, and a blue China marker around the edges.

My left brain seems to be asserting itself more forcefully lately. Is it an age thing? Not that there's anything wrong with it...only I was always pretty certain that I'd age into a delightfully eccentric blend of artsy-craftsy lovey-dovey flighty-fighty...like Mrs. Claus mixed with Nanny Ogg mixed with Tinkerbell.
