In this closeup hat photo you can see that my new fabric is different - matte instead of shiny. The new kind will be much more durable!

Here's the hat I made to match the dress!
Photoshoot season is officially here! One of the first things I hope to get pics of this year is an updated version of this dress.
I've also finished a few pair of these sleeves so I could get costumes ready to go in a shorter timeframe. Just in time for Pirate festivals (which I think are starting back up this year!)

Happy #throwbackthursday! This photo is from 2016. The necklace is a special request I had my sister, Fantastical Treasures, make me - a wild west themed choker necklace set!

Do you prefer this style with a plain hem and matching gloves, or the style I shared yesterday with lace at the bottom?
I'm considering making these again. But I'm curious...
This dress was part of my personal collection. I’m hoping to clear some space in my closet to make way for new designs!

Drapey bustle backs look best (hands down) in Taffeta Damask fabric!

As usual, this dress had a matching hat, which sold long ago! I have materials to make another, however. ^.^
The look is long in the back and short in the front - but you could wear it over a long petticoat for a full length look.

Normally I trim things in lace - but this time, I decided to do pleated satin ribbon trim instead. It looks just as fancy, but turns out a lot more durable made like this!

There’s a new gown posted in the sample section of my online store!

Black leather, black velvet, and burgundy taffeta, my three favorite fabric textures!
Happy Memorial Day, beautiful people!
