He's in the staff room of the cafe. Either the owners of the cafe returned early and brought him there, or he slept walk. Either way, he had an eevee themed blanket covering him now.

She's been trying to call Mathias for a few hours now. Sure, she's glad he finally slept, but wasn't he supposed to be working today? She feels like this isn't going to end well...

Honestly, it's not a writing day if this doesn't play at least once on spo.ti.fy for me.

Listen to the first lyric for it, it's relevant most of the time- not really today, at the moment, but oh well.

Now, there's one massive disadvantage to being alive for 3000 years, at least to him. That is, he's seen a lot of shit.

Wars? Plenty of them. Disasters? Heaps of them too. Does he talk about this with anyone? If you guessed 'no', you've guessed correctly! For ages, he's wanted to actually talk to someone about everything he's seen and lived through. Honestly, Mathias does somewhat consider living through all that to be hell in itself.

Whenever he's survived such an event, he does go through a period of time where he just questions why he has immortality in the first place. Why him, of all people, why does he deserve to live when he should have died during the Kalosian War? There were plenty of other people who deserve it... Or so he thinks.

I will say that he's doing a whole lot better now than in the past. He's met Minori, he's met I don't have names for them yet the couple who own the cafe he works at. He doesn't feel comfortable telling them about his past yet, but it is something he does plan on doing at some point.

Yet at the moment, if someone were to ask him a personal question, it's likely that he'll lie about it.
