Star Light, Star Bright
It had been many hours since they had started flying, spurred on by an instinct to protect the source of energy that gave them life. Soaring through the starry night sky for such a length of time without rest was tiring, but Safi continued to press forward towards the anomaly they had felt in their essence. The Everstream - the life that fueled all monsters in the New and Old worlds, could be likened to a tumultuous ocean. Certain creatures would hold more weight, with greater depths to their well of water, granting them vast powers. Others had much, much shallower shoals. And yet, like any body of water, it would encompass all areas it was allotted, existing in every shred of life it touched. And yet, there managed to be an area that it avoided. A tear- a slit that the energy refused to touch, outlining the void it surrounded instead. A hole that Safi felt rip through their essence like a fresh wound, awakening them from sound sleep and spurring them forth to investigate. They couldn’t see the hole that the Everstream encompassed, but they could feel they were getting closer to the threshold. As they grew near they could feel suction, tugging them ever closer to the rift. But by the time they realized the suction was too strong to divert course, they were rocketing straight towards the tear- And suddenly they were through. A vicious cold coursed through the young dragon, seizing their muscles and collapsing their wings. The Everstream, the very energy their entire existence was created from, was suddenly fleeing, wisping off of them in licks of blue flame. They plummeted while wreathed in this volatile essence, a sapphire comet streaking through the starry sky and towards the base of a mountain tall enough to scratch the heavens. Safi could feel the Everstream’s energy evaporating off of them, but could not yet feel the slow thrumm of magic that took its place. It wasn’t long before they struck down into the rocky earth with a cacophonous boom, the final wisps of Everstream energy flickering out in the scorched earth. They would emanate a small whine as they began to shift, slowly coming back to their senses and shifting their battered limbs. An unfamiliar being in unfamiliar territory. @aurelion-solstice
The great celestial dragon had winded himself through the clouds, eyes attentively watching the mountain he called his home for the time being. It was when his scales felt the shift of the air he turned his gaze elsewhere. The sky rippling with energy that disrupted the flow of magic to the peak. He remained still, attentively feeling the ripples of the disturbed flow before finally concluding that something big had happened. He was usually never disturbed by the change of magical auras, but this was something more. Like a giant mass of rubble dropped into the calm glass surface of a lake, he could almost pinpoint where the disturbance had come from.
Untwisting his body he glided through the sky, the colors of his scales shifting to match that of the setting sun. Aurelion was aware that if he had noted this, then others of the mountain had as well. He knew that if there was something of that strength entering their territory they would waste no time seizing it. It wouldn't have been the first time.
His eyes scanned the surface of the mountains areas, finding himself at the base where the trees gree thick, spare for an area which was scorched. The smoke from the flames has just begun to clear as the fire had run out of things to consume. To his surprise, there was something in the middle of that flamming crater. He squinted, trying to get a better view from his high position, eventually weaving his way down. A dragon, it lay so helplessly in the dirt as its magic was depleted from its body. Which made Sol pity it even more. He didn’t care for terrestrial dragons, but he did care if the humans had decided to do a hunt so close to his home. He worried for the others who had called the hidden peak of targon their sanctuary.
“Young blood, can you move yourself?” he questioned, head tilting to get a better look. “You are not safe here if we wait too long.”

“What business do you have with a dragon?”
"Hopefully not much. Just wondering why you are parked outside of the city”
“I rest where I please.” he says, a huff of starfire coming from between his fangs as he glares down at her.
The dragon's head tilts slightly, watching one of the small hatchlings jump towards his face. He makes a low groan in his throat, scooping up the small whelp into his mouth and carrying it along to a nest. Placing it next to its two siblings who were already comfortable and asleep. “Goodnight my starlings.” he purred as his long serpentine body wrapped around the next as a protective wall.

“You dare command me like some sort of dog, child?”
“I have no need for your pitiful admiration. Flattery will not keep you alive on this mountain. Neither will loose lips.”
@imithea
“You dare command me like some sort of dog, child?”
"No. It was a suggestion. Is your self-esteem so low?"
“Do you wish death aspect?”
"Sometimes. When I'm extremely sad. Why?"
“Your ignorance towards things greater than you will be your downfall. It is a wonder how the other aspects have no slain you for such. Your people will truly suffer if they believe you are a suitable leader to follow.”
@imithea

Leona raises her arms and offers him a clay jug beautifully decorated with constellation patterns. It contains pomegranate juice.
“I do not need your mortal sustenance.”

“That is mildly concerning.”
The dragon squinted, it was an awfully small piece of paper compared to him. A large claw reached down, the tips of the sharp nails gently taking the crumpled wrapper from the man's oversized hand. “Ah.. yes... thanks..” he says, trying to hold back his disgust towards the other.
“...A doctor you say? How interesting.. what exactly do you do?”
“Doctor do many thing. Uhhh like ... we people are hurt Mundo help them be no more hurt! Is what doctors do! Mundo help people with many ways! Can do surgery, can make prosthetics, make autopsy maybe also study cause of death.”
Mundo shrugged his shoulders at the enormous dragon, not afraid one bit. “What you do?”
“I make the stars, you know? The glowing things in the sky, your sun?” his large clawed hand opened, bits of rock and matter dragging itself together to make a large glowing orb. Holding it outwards in his palm as if it were nothing but a ball.
“Of course I cannot just make any star randomly, it takes time,” he says, crushing it between his fingers until it shatters. The stardust and light flickering out between his fingers. “They're never stable if I just throw it together all willy nilly. Fun to show off though.”

Sniff. Sniff sniff.
“Feline.” the star forgers head twists to look at the small creature. “You are far from home, no? Come to spend time on the cold mountain with a lonely dragon like myself?”

“I hope the travel up to the peak wasn’t too horrid.” The dragon man said, walking behind her. He gave his hand another idle wave, causing the entrance to the cave to disappear again. But that didn’t make the area any darker. It just cued the various plants in the ‘hall’ to light up. Each blub glowing a beautiful soft blue as they dangled from a thin stem from the walls. “The cold is unforgiving this time of year, the ice and the avalanches.. it is a lot to avoid.”
As the plants lit up, her eyes filled with wonder. It wasn’t an uncommon sight in the magic jungles of Kumungu, but it was still beautiful all the same. It was warmer here in the cave, away from the wind and ice and snow.
“My feline form is well adapted to the snow. My human form, not so much. But large claws make it easier to walk through ice, and the trek up here is not so bad in that sense.” She smiled, leaning over to get a closer look at the plants.
“Ah yes, that does make sense.” he glanced at her, watching her curiously lean towards the plants. “My cave grew its ecosystem, the mana wells, and crystals that grow here supply the fauna with magic. I have no need for such energy, but it quite interesting to watch all the wildlife react to it.” his clawed hand gently cupped a flower, the pollen drifting from the petals looked like stardust as it gently fell through the soft blue hue it emanated. “My children enjoy it as well. They seem to find amusement in everything really. But at least it gives me breaks before I start to remove my scales.”

“I don’t know which is more insulting. You not knowing my name or the state of your clothes. Fine, I’ll amuse you. I am Aurelion Sol, creator of the cosmos and forger of stars. And you.. Mundo.. are a lucky.. man? -Are you human? A lucky humanoid, to behold me and my grace.”
