now before you get all illiterate let me explain this to you. paraphiles existing does not inherently hurt anyone. they are not inherently predatory. saying "kill all pedophiles!" does more harm than good even if you're slapping a "... except the ones who get help I GUESS." at the end. because you're STILL acting like they're inherently harmful which is anti recovery. YOU are the anti recovery one by saying paraphiles are bad "unless they want to recover" because you're still saying they're inherently bad by default and that's, yes I will say it, ableist because paraphilias are mental conditions that no one chooses to have. can you please try to put yourself in our shoes?

I'm deserving of humanity for being a paraphile. other paraphiles are deserving of humanity. PREDATORS are the ones who should be shunned.
let me make this clear. if you are really anti ableism and pro recovery, your support for paraphiles should be inherent. you should not see them as harmful for existing. "but only if they aren't predators!" those are two separate groups of people, okay? most child predators aren't even pedophiles, they do it for the power.

pedophiles & other large dangerous paraphilias ARE inherently harmful. normalizing that mindset and those actions and thoughts will ALWAYS be harmful. both to the person with the disorder and to everyone around them.

4. if someone is GENUINELY seeking help and recovery to handle their UNWANTED thoughts , then they aren't a predator. they aren't a -phile. they are just a person trying to help themselves and be better.
