WHEN: October 13th, 2028, around 18:30. WHERE: Just outside the Great Hall. WHO: Aurore & Open. 

Leaning back against the wall, Aurore looked up at the ceiling and sighed. Aurore liked people. In general, at least. However, being stuck in one place, with so many people, with no other choice but to stay there? Not exactly her favourite situation in the world. She was used to crowds; had to get used to them from a really young age, really. Frightened crowds, though? Crowds ready to fight monsters to the death for their and others’ survival? That hadn’t exactly been part of her royal childhood.

Still, she had been trained to pretend that everything was okay, and so it was what she did. Pushing herself off the wall, she put on a bright smile — a well-practiced one that few could see through — and looked around the room. Finally spotting someone, she tilted her head to the side and softened her smile. “Mind if I sit with you in the Great Hall? I don’t like eating alone, and the people who were supposed to tolerate me today are too busy surviving and what not to accommodate my needs.”

LIL FACTS AND WHAT NOT ( TWs: Hooking Up )

Aurore is thirteenth in line to the throne of Belgium. I could write about her lineage and what not, but to be completely honest, that would require a lot of efforts and research on Belgian royalty from me, and I want to get this intro out this year, so! It’ll be developed on in her bio! (The bio that will be coming eventually. Probably.)

She grew up very privileged, but her mother herself wasn’t royal, and though she was also rich as f*ck, she had been raised by two philanthropists who instilled the idea that being helpful to others was necessary, and she raised her kids the same way. 

Aurore is the youngest child of her family, but I think she’d have turned out the exact same way, no matter the place in the family. Maybe she’d have been less irresponsible, though... Who knows!

Only her parents and siblings know that she’s a witch; the rest of the family is left in the dark due to the fact that it’d be more difficult to keep things secret otherwise. It’s not that they don’t trust the rest of the royal family; it’s just that they don’t think it’s wise for too many people to know. Though, now, with everything that’s happened, that might have changed.

Honestly, Aurore’s parents are giant geeks, and when they finally accepted the fact that she’s a witch as true, they, like... Freaked out. They found it all so fascinating and wonderful, and though they were a bit sad they wouldn’t get to see their daughter as much anymore (even though they already didn’t see her that often due to complicated schedules), they were very excited for her.

She was a bit of a trouble maker, fortunately, and so when they let the rumour come out that Aurore was sent to a boarding school for, uh, difficult rich kids, people didn’t have too much difficulty believing it.

She went to Beauxbâtons for her first four years of school, but managed to find a way to transfer to Hogwarts (we can work out logistics later) for her fifth to seventh years. She had a lot of friends at Beauxbâtons, but not a lot of close ones, and therefore it wasn’t exactly emotionally painful to do that.

At Hogwarts, she was sorted into Gryffindor, which like...... Works very well.

She preferred the Hogwarts atmosphere, and less people there seemed to care about her status (or at least, that’s what she felt like), so she decided to stay in the UK after she finished school, buying a house in Liverpool with a couple of her friends. (I would LOVE connections for those friends btw; and they don’t have to be rich! Aurore would have accepted roommates who just pay a lil rent too! It’s not like she needs all her money.)

Has zero (0) tact. Is loud, and proud, and LOUD, and does not know when to shut up. Words leave her mouth, before she has even had time to start thinking about what she was going to say. Often, that doesn’t end well for her, but it’s who she is, so!

Is very passionate about helping others. And she doesn’t do it in a patronizing way, either. She gives a lot of her money away to trusted organizations, schools, hospitals, etc, and is just! Super generous with people without trying to be? She’s always offering to buy things with her friends, and does not realize that it might sometimes make them feel uncomfortable, but to her, it’s not charity? It’s just sharing to her (and also it means she’s less alone - but that’s another thing I’ll explore in her bio).

MESSY!!!!!!! In the way she acts/talks, but also like.......... In like, her room and what not. She’s not dirty, she’s very clean, in fact, but.......... Messy. So messy.

Is always sure things will get better, and is like..... A ball of energy with a giant smile on it, trying to convince everyone it’s all going to be okay. She does have her darker moments, but that energetic and optimistic façade is what she shows the world. 

HOOKING UP TW. Feels very lonely because of the fact that she feels like there’s an invisible wall separating her from other people, and makes up for it by hooking up with a lot of people, including people she doesn’t even get alone with. It makes her feel a little bit less empty, even if for a moment, and so she keeps getting back to it. 

At Beauxbâtons, she took Healing as an elective, and she honestly really enjoyed it. Even though she didn’t pursue it as a career after finishing school, she didn’t hesitate for a second before offering to be a combat medic at the school when she went back there in March. She’s gotten better and better at it, too, what with practicing and all of that, and she kind of enjoys it? Like, not enjoys enjoys it because like....... It’s an awful situation, but! She thinks she’s doing the right thing, at the right place.
