The Gengar chirped and giggled blissfully, in response to Eusine’s affectionate headpats. However, he didn’t stay there for long, once his master was close enough to the other human he proceeded to quickly crawl back to his shadow. Where it always resides in.
So far, it seemed like there was nothing out of the ordinary on his friend, at least on a first glance. Perhaps, he was fussing over nothing after all. Even though he could tell, how the other was avoiding visual contact with him.
Despite that, he maintained the grin on his face. At first, he laughed alongsidehis friend while retracting his hand and tucking it away in his pants’ pocket. “It’s still a little too soon for me to return to my home, today’s going to be a long one for me. But you know my home is always open to you, for whatever you need.” Then a brief pause followed his words. “Although, I did lock my door this morning before leaving, if I knew you were coming I’d have left the key under the carpet… Is that why yo’uve come looking for me?”
As Morty spoke, he turned around in place in order to keep an eye on his friend. “It may be dark in there, but I assure the tower hasn’t changed since your last visit. I’m done scouting this place, for any meddling trainers.” His voice trailed off, as his gaze shifted for a brief moment from the man to the dilapitated ruins of the building.
“There’s nothing to see here.”
well, it wouldn’t do if he were to go home to his home all alone. as much as he’s sure there’s much that he could do (like chores that certainly haven’t been done), he doesn’t want to be alone just yet! after all, is that not why he came all the way to ecruteak? to be in the company of his friend after such a long time on end?
“hmm...” he presses his finger to his chin as if he’s thinking; and he thinks, thinks, thinks until a grin plays upon his face. “morty, my dear friend! you would not be opposed to me joining you on your ‘scouting’, correct?” it seems like something formal in term, but it seems like it would be fun and who knows what they would find!
“it seems as if you laid out an adventure right before me, and it would be rude of me not to take you on it! so... let us make haste and i will be your humble assistant!” ...for now anyway!
