Sanhwa dancing to Kick It!!!! Atinyzens we WIN
Happy two years to Stray Kids and their incredible music and messages they have gifted us. Throughout many hardships, they have always reminded us to Stay with them and find comfort within their music. Iâm so, so, SO thankful to Chris for forming this wonderful group of outstanding human beings. I hope we can spend three, four, and even more years with them in the future.

ATEEZ are Unreliable Narrators Theory

Miscellaneous Thoughts
Introduction
This recently dawned on me, but I have had this in the back of my mind ever since I noticed another pattern within their lyrics. There is a frequent use of the word âyouâ in some of their songs. The most obvious is Pirate King with the catchphrase âwill you be my friend?â. Who is the âyouâ addressing though? Is there someone ATEEZ is telling their story to? Who exactly is telling the story and why does it matter? Simple, ATEEZ are unreliable narrators.Â
ATEEZ Dream Loop Theory

Introduction
Yes, this theory will be a hefty one. It also disproves my other two theories quite a bit due to the context. What is the dream theory then? Well, it is obvious. Everything happening in the ATEEZ Treasure canon is a dream...a lie almost. It is all to deceive us from what is really occurring within their universe. Not everything is what it seems to be. This theory is pretty self-explanatory except for how the story works compared to other theories. It could act similarly, but that is why I am typing this out, to figure out what is really going on.
Common Motifs
This is going to be a really short section, but this is highlighting common themes I find within lyrics and music videos.
Fire (associated with a burning, passionate feeling in lyrical form)
Dreams (San specifically asking to not wake him up and the âopen your eyesâ line)
Time (time being non-existent or looping)
Light (probably has to do with stars, adds dreamy atmosphere)
Storyline
There is no clear âstoryâ for this theory, only a rough outline of events. What I can come to a conclusion on is ATEEZ is stuck within an endless dream...or nightmare depending on the viewpoint. How they fell into an endless dream is unknown, but it could have to do with finding the treasure. The treasure is what could wake them up, but again, not everything is what it seems. Fake ATEEZ, bad ATEEZ, or whatever you call the âotherâ side of ATEEZ, they have a major part within this theory also. Nightmare ATEEZ as I will call them for this theory. So, if ATEEZ are stuck within a dream/nightmare, then how will the treasure wake them up? How do they know the treasure will wake them up?
Wooyoung is the main skeptic within the group. Heâs obviously self-aware along with Seonghwa and Yeosang. I have covered why these three act as âdouble agentsâ within the group, but they also play a part within this theory. What Wooyoungâs motivations for not pursuing the treasure other than he knows there is a catch is unknown. Yeosang and Seognhwa do not act as brashly as Wooyoung for the sole purpose of not being booted from the group. Hongjoong has shown he can only take enough before snapping, but not because of temper, the nightmarish side of him is quick to take over. San is the closest to Hongjoong, so he is susceptible to following his commands haphazardly. Yunho and Mingi seem to be easily influenced, but Yunho more influenced by the nightmare side compared to Mingi who goes with whichever side. Jongho is also close to Hongjoong, but not as close as San.
The main focus of this theory revolves around Illusion and Wave. Illusion in itself is not what it seems. The song is fun, exciting, and the visuals are refreshing, but it is all really an illusion. Closely reading the lyrics and paying attention to minor details within the music video, Illusion is a tonally imbalanced song. One giveaway is a verse from Mingi, âliving and death are repeatingâ. Hongjoongâs verses entice the rest of ATEEZ to join him and âhurry and party all night longâ. Jongho states that he âdoesnât know what day it is anymoreâ. Seonghwa seems to forget what is happening around him, âwho and where am I, and who are youâ. The list goes on and I could end up quoting from the whole music video. San follows the same cheery verse pattern as Hongjoong asking no one to wake him up and to follow him. Hongjoong and San are nightmare ATEEZ disguised under the radar, but Mingi could be under their influence as well. Why else would they be using dreamy verbiage to describe their journey? They are distracting the other members so they can corrupt them further.
HALA HALA plays an important role in this theory as well. The further Hongjoong and the other corrupted members delve into this journey to find the treasure, the more disjointed their psyches become and the less likely they are able to return to reality. Wooyoung is the only one able to save them from becoming consumed by this nightmare causing him to âresetâ the story. That is why Wave begins with everyone opening their eyes. Wave progresses into Say my Name where they learn about the treasure and decide to pursue it, but of course, Wooyoung is highly against it. He tries again and again to stop the journey, but even Seonghwa and Yeosang are forced to follow along despite being self-aware of the loop. Illusion is a representation of their journey hence the flowery language from Hongjoong, San, and Mingi. The brief moments where a HALA HALA mask appears on the desk in the shipâs cabin and a vision of nightmare ATEEZ are the beginning of the many warning signs for them to turn back. It is too late since Hongjoong has already begun corrupting the others under the radar.
Wooyoung does wish to reset the loop much earlier than HALA HALA. In Illusion, he lights a match wanting to reset the story right then and there in plain view of everyone else. That is why Seonghwa blows out a match in his teaser trailer. While he is self-aware like Wooyoung, he is not so hasty to reset the loop. Seonghwa and Yeosang probably believe the treasure to have the answer to wake them up, but unfortunately become corrupt to the point where Wooyoung is left by himself. Wooyoungâs actions are reckless and that is why he got locked up in his teaser so he could not reset the loop. He manages to free himself by what I am guessing is pretending to become corrupt, hence the red lighting in the teaser. Wooyoung manages to reset the loop before it is too late, but he locks himself and the rest of ATEEZ back into the endless loop that can only be undone by finding the treasure. Unfortunately, the journey to finding the treasure is what ultimately corrupts them so there is a high chance they are stuck within the loop forever.
New note since I watched the performance teaser: Yunho is the last one standing outside of the fallen whereas Wooyoung was standing inside the fallen at the end of HALA HALA. This makes me think that there are two outcomes of this loop. Either where the bad side resets the loop and causes the storyline to alter to favor nightmare ATEEZ or where Wooyoung resets the timeline giving him time before the corruption happens. However, Wooyoung is inside the fallen making me think heâs still trapped within the loop. Yunho is outside the fallen making me think he has gone ârogueâ and skews the storyline even further away from ATEEZ waking up.
Miscellaneous Thoughts
I only outlined the story part in this theory. I am holding off on going into other specifics until more information is released about the new comeback. My next theory will attempt to figure out what is inside the treasure box ATEEZ are seeking. Yes, I am going to be pulling a MatPat.
Still not over the fact that Chanâs birthday is the same day as national boyfriend day.....but idk he feels more like a really really close friend and I feel like being close friends with him must be like having a constant warm, comforting hug. Heâs always here for Stay and weâre always there for him. Idk it just makes me think a lot about that connection and heâs more than a kpop idol in a sense.
HONGJOONG REALLY JUST OPENED KCON THAILAND AND COLLABED ON STAGE WITH 3RACHA THIS FEELS LIKE A FEVER DREAM BUT ITS NOT IT REALLY HAPPENED AAAAAAAAA
Chris going absolutely feral during BMâs verses in Dumb Litty is a big mood

Introduction
After digging through more evidence to support the puppet theory, I stumbled upon evidence to support another theory. That theory is there are two ATEEZâs. The puppet theory is an internal struggle between good and bad sides, but there is only one body/ATEEZ the conflict is happening in. The double ATEEZ theory explains itself, there are two separate ATEEZâs that split off at some point. As a result of the split, there are separate timelines both sides follow. It is unclear if the two sides ever meet and clash with each other, but there is some evidence that supports that however this is mostly based on my personal speculation.
Say my Name
Established as the prequel to Treasure and in turn the whole timeline as of now, Say my Name holds too many hidden details that requires several watches to catch them all. All of ATEEZ are fixated on finding their treasure however there is a darker force working in the sidelines. Why else would the bad side show up at random towards the end of the music video? Glancing at the lyrics for Say my Name, they are asking someone to call their names and snap them out of some sort of trance. The obvious answer for who they are asking to call their names is atiny, but I think otherwise (mostly for coherence sake). Realize that ATEEZ do not split into two separate sides with their own bodies until after Say my Name. During Say my Name, the good and bad sides are within one body. It could be the good side calling to themselves to keep themselves in check to prevent the bad side from corrupting their bodies entirely.
Timelines
I made a diagram to show how the new timelines function. ATEEZ act under one body until Desire where they split into two bodies. Based off the puppet theory, Hongjoong still corrupts the rest of ATEEZ. The difference is that the two sides struggle for control to the point of splitting into two separate bodies. Before the split there is the Treasure mv where ATEEZ still choose to pursue riches despite the looming risk of inner conflict between the good and bad sides. As evidenced by the choreography of Treasure, Hongjoong is the one who controls the rest of ATEEZ to follow him (obviously since he is the captain/leader). The choreography also reveals that Jongho and Seonghwa are the ones covering his eyes while he âmovesâ the others with his hand movements. I have not looked into whether the double agent concept applied to the puppet theory works in correlation with this theory (I labeled Seonghwa as a double agent).
This theory does take a darker turn when the split occurs. The bad side continues with their own timeline in the form of HALA HALA, but the bad side eventually attacks the good side possibly out of spite. The bad side sprays over the treasure the good side wishes to find and in turn sets them back. The good side does continue to search for treasure during Pirate King, but as the bad side attacks them, the good side is left wounded to the point where they have to ârestâ. My guess is that Illusion is their transition from the real world to their own âhealing worldâ which is the world of Wave. Aurora could also be within their healing world. The bad sideâs timeline remains unknown after they attack the good side, so I am hoping the next comeback reveals more about them.

I wanted to counter my own theory so this is why I made a brand new theory based on the puppet theory. I just enjoy analyzing and speculating any sort of content.
You know, I feel dumb after reading that theory dkfkgkgk it's really AMAZING LIKE HOW EVEN???? I mean okay I didn't spend any time to think about neither the mvs nor the choreos but even if I did... THIS IS ON A HOLY LEVEL I'M SPEECHLESS HOW CAN YOU BE SO ARTSY AND AMAZING AND COME UP WITH THESE THEORIES AND ALL THAT AHH I'M CRYING-
Aaaaaaaaa donât feel bad if you donât understand it at first even I confused myself on what I was writing đ
And idk Iâve spent hours debunking anime theories which are on a whole other level then I tried solving bts theories which......is more difficult than it seemed
Thank you for reading my theory tho! â€ïž
ATEEZ Puppet Theory

Introduction
ATEEZ vs ATEEZ

Double Agents
Miscellaneous Thoughts
Introduction
What is the âpuppet theoryâ exactly? It was first raised during the second era âZero to Oneâ. ATEEZ is struggling with an internal conflict splitting themselves into two parts, the good and bad sides. Simple enough, but it is figuring out which side is controlling which. There is also the question of which side is in control during each era. It is obvious enough that the bad side is in control during HALA HALA, but after that, it is difficult to decipher which side is in control during all other songs/eras.Â
ATEEZ vs ATEEZ
The subtle anarchy symbolism is scattered throughout their music videos first appearing in the background of the first era. Then the symbolism became more obvious in the second era. At first, it was speculated that the anarchy symbolism complimented the pirate/bandit theme in both eras. Soon, the comparisons of the anarchy symbolism were attached to an inner struggle ATEEZ is going through. That theory further expanded into the puppet theory where one side is controlling the other. It is figuring out which side is controlling the other.Â
The obvious answer is the bad side is controlling the good side right? Well, this is partially correct. There is the overlying theme of an inner struggle occurring inside of ATEEZ throughout their discography. HALA HALA and Say My Name are the two music videos where it is the most apparent that there is a power struggle between the two sides. Hidden in plain sight within the choreography of HALA HALA, the bad side is quarreling for control against the good side. The good side is not entirely forced out of the body, but obviously struggles against the bad side.Â
After examining the choreography of HALA HALA, these are the members who are on the good side and bad side (some members have further evidence to back up their side but I will touch on that later).
Bad side: Hongjoong, Jongho, San, Mingi, Yunho
Good side: Wooyoung, Yeosang, Seonghwa
Wait, all the members have a good and bad side right? What I gathered from watching the HALA HALA and Say My Nameâs choreographies, there are members who have given up to either side. If all members were on the bad side during this era, then One to All era would have never happened. The three members on the good side âfit inâ as double agents under the guidance that they will not be caught for snapping out of it. These three are crucial for âresettingâ the balance in order to transition from Zero to One era to One to All.Â
Side note, here is the story order that I believe the songs take place for transitions:
Say my Name, Treasure, Desire, Pirate King/HALA HALA (these two songs happen at the same time), Aurora, Illusion, Wave
Outwards Corruption
Hongjoong is the main mastermind behind the story. He is the one who ends up corrupting the rest of ATEEZ during the end choreography of Desire. Desire is the âbridge songâ connecting the good and bad side together. Notice how the song does not have a real âdropâ and starts building up towards the end and ends on a somewhat calm note. This ending chaos is the representation of Hongjoong becoming overwhelmed with the real âdesireâ to find treasure. I believe that ATEEZ did find the treasure, but it was not enough OR the treasure is what caused further corruption. This could explain the appearance of anarchy symbols in some promotional pictures for Pirate King. Another note is that the recent teaser image for the new era is from inside what appears to be a treasure box. Brightening the image reveals a red/orange tint and in HALA HALA, red is sprayed over the camera, but this could be corrupted ATEEZ spraying over a treasure box to mark it off so when the good side takes over again they will skip the marked treasure box.Â
Moving onto One to All era, it is difficult to know which side is in control. The era is presented is a new chapter for ATEEZ to move on after the end of HALA HALA where Wooyoung âresetsâ the members as a last resort. Aurora symbolizes the group finding peace within themselves after the reset. This is more of my personal observation, but the mood of Auroraâs music video has a hint of melancholy to it. This could be ATEEZ reflecting on their actions and looking to the future which leads into Illusion. However, Illusion is not what it seems. While it may appear that ATEEZ snapped out of their corrupted states, it really is all an âillusionâ as the title suggests. Either one member or more is still corrupted but is hiding it from the others. My guess is Yunho and Jongho are still corrupted by their bad sides as during the line choreography in Illusion they are the two members controlling how the line moves. Wave is their final destination and I believe Yunho and Jongho have âblended inâ with the others to where no one can tell if they are corrupted or not.Â
Side note: the choreography for Utopia plays into the corruption theme but it acts similarly to the line control move in Illusion and HALA HALA.Â
Double Agents
The double agents are the members who could still be fully aware no matter which side is in control. These membersâ good sides are able to stay away but still struggle against submitting to the bad side when Hongjoong corrupts them further in Desire. Wooyoung, Yeosang, and Seonghwa are the double agents. This could explain why Yeosang chooses to isolate himself in the glass box in Say my Name as to avoid future corruption. Hongjoong could also be a double agent, but I ruled this out as unlikely as he struggles to reject the notion of corrupting the others (notice how he drops the bugle in Say my Name but returns in HALA HALA with a megaphone). How Wooyoung and Seonghwa managed to become double agents is unknown, but Wooyoung does have the capability to âresetâ all the members as a last resort. These three members are proven to be double agents as they âawakenâ in the beginning of the HALA HALA choreography as they are the only members to do the connecting hand motions. All the other members move away from them and connect their hands with nothing.Â
Miscellaneous Thoughts
For one, this is all based on creative interpretation and anyone can interpret the puppet theory however they wish. I would wait for the new comeback to drop, but it is better to set up the current storyline as is and wait for the new era to either drastically change this theory or add to the story.Â
(If anyone wishes to write their own version of the theory and pull ideas from this directly please credit me I broke my brain writing this)

CHAN REALLY JUST CALLED US CLOWNS FOR THINKING HIS HAIR IS STILL BLOND OMG HE KNOWS TOO MUCH HES TOO POWERFUL AT THIS POINT WE CANT STOP HIM đđđ
EDIT: OKAY HE SAID WE WERENâT CLOWNS I DIDNT HEAR RIGHT đ
NCT is 21 members. Not nine members. Not six members. Not whatever number other than 21 until new members are added.
NCTâs core concept is to be an expanding global group with no limit of how many members they are. Yes, in practice the unlimited members concepts is faulty in a few areas, this does NOT mean any member is excluded. It is unfortunate those who have forgotten NCTâs core concept continue to divide not only the group, but the fandom. No matter what âSM officialsâ say about who is in which unit, there is no separation between units. There is no â127zenâ, âDreamzenâ, or âWayVzenâ, only Nctzens.
The blame for NCTâs unit transparency can only be put on SM. Those who choose to follow whatever nonsense that spews from SMâs belligerence towards the separation of units do not deserve the full brunt of blame. SM refuses to clarify Sichengâs position in 127 leaving Nctzens to cause restless conflict over this. Subsequently, this is SMâs fault for neglecting Sicheng, not Nctzens. Countless hashtags trended on Twitter and SM was barraged with complaints about Sichengâs mistreatment, but has SM done anything? SM has only shoved the envelope for his complete erasure from 127 and the NCT name as a whole.
This back and forth irrationality between SM and their other members confuses Nctzens and newcomers alike. Sicheng is in 127âs music videos from Fire Truck to Simon Says along with all the promotional material from those eras. SM allowed other members to speak freely of Sicheng after Simon Says era, then some members were ordered to âshut upâ about his existence in the group. A few times they could speak freely of Sicheng, but now members have to stay quiet. This erasure of Sichengâs name from NCT spread outside of the members as a recent interviewer had to remove his name from an article per the managementâs demands. Does SMâs management not realize Sicheng is still in all those music videos and promotional material? Where is the official statement of saying heâs no longer in 127?
As the convoluted absurdity drags on, Nctzens continue to argue and split the fandom, and debatably, the group further apart. No matter what senseless statements SM continues to spread, NCT is 21 members and 21 members ONLY until new members are added. The division within the fandom can not be halted with a simple hashtag trend and useless arguments on social media. This ceaseless conflict between solo stans and so on is not helping the situation. What can only be done for now is to mass unfollow/unsubscribe to whatever social media SM has to generate noise. SM only seems to care when money is involved. Do NOT discredit NCT or any other group for causing issues, BLAME SM FOR THEIR MISTREATMENT OF THEIR ARTISTS AND SUBSEQUENT FANBASES.
