Xiaojun had been too tired to wash his face before leaving work and as he entered your apartment, he silently thanked everyone above that it was late at night and nobody was out. His face consisted of the wonderful artwork of lipstick hearts that his members have drawn for him as he lost a game and he is sure he looks ridiculous.
Well, anything for content, he thinks.
The apartment lights are dim but as soon as he closes the door, he hears soft padded footsteps coming out of the bedroom. He smiles as he keeps his shoe aside, ready to sleep in your arms and finally rest for the day.
“You are home,” you say softly as he turns his head towards you and your hands stop mid-air awkwardly. Xiaojun sighs, wondering how he can give a rational explanation for the messy lipstick hearts drawn on his face.
A small giggle leaves your throat as you put your arms around his neck and ask, “Was this the penalty for losing?”
His pout makes you laugh as he replies, “Yeah, glad you figured that out.”
You press a small kiss on his lips and he groans at the fast loss of contact but you drag him towards the sink, murmuring, “Come on, let’s get you cleaned first.”
A groan leaves his throat as he somehow tries to make you understand that sleeping with lipstick stains all over his face isn’t bad at all but you know better as you drag him inside and make him sit down.
Your hands hover over his face as you feel his eyes close and for a moment, you just stand quietly thinking how ridiculous and cute your boyfriend looks in the deformed lipstick heart marks.
Before you can stop yourself, your lips press to one of them, kissing one of the marks softly. Xiaojun’s eyes shoot open as he stares at you and glares, no actual heat being there behind his eyes. You giggle again as you press your lips to another one of the marks. Then you press your lips to another, and then one more.
His eyes meet yours and he narrows his eyes asking, “Are you ever going to clean them up?” Not that he is complaining about the current situation at all but he cannot let you know that.
Your smile widens as you nod, replying, “Yes, in a minute." You keep pressing kisses over the deformed hearts as small laughs leave your throat. He flinches lightly at the ticklish feeling as his hands grip your waist and pull you down on his lap.
You happily comply as you wrap your legs around his waist and he looks at you sleepily. You part his hair lightly, loosening out the knots as you whisper, “So what game did you lose again?”
“Some stupid spinning game,” he murmurs, his pout increasing with time and he takes in a small breath. His eyebrows scrunch but before he can continue, you press your lips to his. Xiaojun hums in content as he kisses you back, his thumb drawing circles on your waist. You tilt your head as your noses brush lightly and squeeze his shoulder lightly to ease the tension.
He sighs into the kiss, and you smile as you part, then get up, saying, “Okay, now I will really clean that up.” He nods, clearly in a haze as he smiles, watching you get up from his lap.
When you are near the door, his eyebrows scrunch lightly and just as you are out the door, you hear his scream, “Hey, what do you mean again?”
