An Absolutely Loving God
An updated God would be absolutely loving. He would never punish people for their “sins,” or kill them in anger for their disobedience. The only hurt people would experience would arise as a result of the consequences of their decisions and behaviours. The only punishment an absolutely loving God would administer is to demand that offenders make good for the evil they did. A God of absolute love would only forgive, court and woo humans back to the paths of goodness, and relentlessly encourage them to make wise and sensible decisions. In the presence of a loving God no human could ever feel worthless, ashamed, guilty, condemned, or doomed. In the presence of an absolutely loving God, every person, no matter how miserable he or she is, would feel only love, joy, awe, gratitude, vitality, excitement and exhilaration.

Today most religious people know for certain that Goddesses don’t exist, and yet many religions of the past (and a few in the present) knew for certain that Goddesses exist and are worthy of sacrifices, magnificent temples and worship.
So then, if there are religious people who were/are certain that Goddesses exist, and there are some of us who know for a fact that there are no Goddesses, present or past, shouldn’t we take a pause and recognize that something is wrong about our briefs? Both beliefs cannot be true. If one is true, how do we know which is true? If both sides are certain they hold the truth about the existence or nonexistence of Goddesses, then would it not be more logical to doubt both?
