On the one hand I get the whole: “don’t think of characters as people, think of them as storytelling devices.” On the other hand that is MY sad little meow meow and they are the most special little guy ever and more than just a writing tool.
Like, yes while characters should carry a message with them. I do think a good character should stand even without the theme they are ment to portray.

Just wrote in another hour-or-two long chunk while listening to ONE song for the first time in at least a month and I don’t know what to do with myself rn.
(The scene was super good too. Also may-or-may-not have been the ending to one of my books despite me not even remotely having finished the rest of the story [procrastination final boss])

Just realized that if I publish my own book I can read fanfics about my dearest blorbos from my head! Like yes random internet stranger tell my a story about my own creations, I’d love to hear it! Like this idea genuinely makes me want to finish writing asap cuz I NEED fics of my OC’s NOW.
