I think drone alt modes would be overall solitary but specifically to their own alt. As its very rare to see a drone and expect another to pop out but I wouldnt be shocked to see one near another flying vehicle like in military air strikes.

I think they would only been seen together if they are conjux and that they would form one big flock for very specific cultural stuff (drone shows)

Honestly I think they remind me of albatros, they spend years all alone but group up under special situations.

I also think with the context of drones being most commonly remote controlled amd the term 'vehicon drone' existing i think that drone shows could also be a result of functionalism. Where one bot controls/own a group of drone alt bots for entertainment/delivery/air fights, on the same hand remote control can also be interpreted as a very close bond with a non flight frame that helps coordinate from the ground. Like their air shows not being inherently bad for drones, just a bit over taken by old laws.

I also think they'd pair up and do intricate air dances with lots of sudden flips and hovering mid air with a drone they like (eagles trust fall, hummingbirds flying for example) but on that same hand if two drones dont want each other in the same air space they can fight to try and clip tbe others blades to make them back off, whoever cant keep steady loses.

Thinking about sparklings and how the idea of upgrades might work

So I imagine that caretakers will use stiff metal brushes to scratch itcy spots once the sparklings come out and new plating settles in.

Saw a post aboht mice vs rats in terms of socialization and decided to apply that logic to cybertronians.

"If i dont see my buddy in the next orn im gonna be cawa bummed out :(" = seekers, two wheeler, speedster, casseticons, vehicons, construction bots

"If i see another mech in a 20 mile radius I will peel his plating from aft to mouth and wear em like a coat" = shuttles, trainformers, titanformers, city formers, big ocean based alts, gunformers

"Okey social battery is out goodbye for 2 days" = trucks, cars, small ocean based alts, praxians

Two wheeler love to ride in big groups. (biker groups)

Trucks like optimus and magnus prefer long travels solitary but rest up together or they feel unsafe (truck stops and long lonely drives)

Prowl will be so so chill doing a long patrol together but after that he needs to be locked away alone or his mood gets even worse

The constructions get snappy and sad if the gestalt dont have a dig around together at least once a month

Gun formers like megs feel safest when they are the only gun around.

Definitely think seekers are super social but picky in their set of 3 having to be a literal perfect match. (Air shows requiring a lot of pilot coordination not just random following whoever)

Shuttles need to fuck with your vibe super hard to not want to immediatly be 1000km away from you.

Skyfire is an outlier and should not be counted, he is so intrigued by social interactions he forges the usual solitary shuttle instincts (people think starscream just would not leave him alone in the academy and sky got used to it)
