WHAT’S UP INTERNET
If you’re a gamer, you probably noticed all the new stuff being announces at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. I’m super excited, especially about all the announcements from Sony and Nintendo.
Lots of people are excited for different consoles and their respective games, LIKE THE 3DS. So here’s your chance to win one! The winner will receive a red 3DS XL system (like new, used only a few times) with its original box, charger, manuals, and AR cards. Plus, the two latest killer apps for the 3DS, Fire Emblem: Awakening and Animal Crossing: New Leaf!
Rules:
Sadly, the 3DS is region-locked, so I am only shipping to the United States.
Reblogs count, Likes do not. Only one reblog will count per person.
If you make a fake/empty/giveaway/side blog to reblog, you will be disqualified.
I will need the winner’s address for shipping purposes, so you have to be comfortable with sharing this information.
The giveaway will end on Friday, June 21st and the winner will be announced on that day! Good luck!
Keiichi Sato’s artstyle has gotten so bad.
Fanart of The Big O and Dorothy. Lost motivation after realizing I wasn’t sure how to cast the light and shadow on the piston arms. Finally finished when I referenced some figurine phones a week after I started.
I just watched the entirety of The Big O anime not too long ago. Maybe some of you will remember when it was on Cartoon Network (eons ago). What a brilliant show… it’s too bad the plot became so obtuse and the story was never really completed. Shame they don’t seem to make anime like this anymore. Dorothy is such a sweetheart.
Yes, clearly I’m not hitting that 3 pieces a week target. Ah well. :P
wow this is the most anon attention i've ever gotten... and a positive one to boot!
do you uphold your culture's traditions? anything really, anything from taking off your shoes in the house (even though a lot of families do that in america anyways) to kneel at a traditional table for special occasions? do you have any family traditions/heirlooms or anything?
we uphold several traditions, most of them quite common, one we do that most families do, is that my grandfather, whom is still alive, even after serving in ww2 (against the americans mind you, since we moved to the states a few weeks after i was born) we drink sake and celebrate our loved ones good health! and there is one heirloom that i will possess soon, our family sword (i'm an only child and we are technically breaking a bit of tradition, since if there were only daughters, a male cousin received the sword)
i see, but i imagine everyone in school butchered the spelling of your first name, i bet you've got like 30 different spellings of your name, but anyways... do you speak japanese at home, or can your parents speak english ok?
(wow, that was fast) kinda... most people got it right, except for this one guy that for some reason, put two o's in place of the u...
and we only really speak japanese at home, my parent's know enough to be decent in most social situations (i was in the esl [english as a second language] program when i was in elementary school, but i learned to speak english just like any of my peers) and i voice chat in english in league of legends, TF2, and L4d... except i still speak english when someone is over at my house, i usually have to translate for my parents, to and from our guest... is there anything else that you would like to ask?

thank you both, but i apologize for the late follow-back, i haven't been on in a while...
Is your last name real or was it changed when your parents immigrated? because i've heard of a "yamamoto" but not a "nagamoto"
that's exactly right, my parent's told me that our name used to be Sugimoto, we really don't know why they changed it, (in high school, I never got my name butchered by a sub, and I'm pretty sure they still wouldn't have even if our name wasn't changed...) if you have anymore questions, ask away.
now I want some doughnuts for breakfast!

Day 6: Favorite Anime Hero
Vash the Stampede-Trigun
I love anti-heros as much as the next person, but Vash represents a true hero, without being boring and that’s what makes him my favorite. He’s goofy and fun-loving, but he knows when he needs to be serious in order to get the job done. He understands fully that his actions may not be recognized by the people he helps and accepts full responsibility for any errors that result.
