What's up, it's Critter.

This blog features a magical space fish who is the ruler of an alien empire. They're chill about it.

They're friendly and a bit of a flirt, but they are NOT human and lack a lot of human context, morals, and standards.

On this blog things stay more lighthearted as Valera tends to keep things superficial on what is meant to be a funny social space, but there are occasional discussions of heavier topics. Space imperialism, politics, etc, as they are relevant to the character.

My freak of a navigator can tell me the approximate galactic coordinates of pretty much any space cloud I show him a fraction of a picture of.

I asked my Auntie about this 'cause she has her own rickety arse station an' she says sometimes you can find a gas giant's vapors bein' pulled away from it by its moons, an' if you park that 'tween you an' the system's star, you get a shimmery backdrop.

​I was thinking something like that, or finding a good nebula to serve as a backdrop. I got a few recommendations, but I don't think those are actually very impressive. They rarely look as good in person as they do in pictures. Glittery vapors sound way more enjoyable.

There's a few gas planets in this very solar system, so it shouldn't be hard to find a good angle. Safer and saner than dancing in a black hole's event horizon, too. Rich stupid people do some crazy shit for a view, but I'm not putting myself anywhere near the spaghettification holes.
