chapter two, settling in.
After two days, Cliffjumper was dismissed and was taken in a trailer to the maltos. Bee was the one pulling the trailer, with an accompaniment of Jazz. After arriving and some time spent with his 'nephews', Jazz left. They didn't have a room available for Cliffjumper, so he was set up in the living room of the dugout. Cliffjumpers injuries were healing well, and within a week Ratchet would check up on Cliffjumper, and despite warnings about dangers, C.J. was still doing the same reckless stunts as before.
The terrans were very excited about having a new brother. And sneaking around to see Bee and C.J. doing stuff that Bee never did before C.J. showed up. For example, on the first night after arriving, Nightshade woke up early. They went to the living room to see if Cliffjumper was awake, to see him and Bee snuggling like puppies. Nightshade, doing the reasonable thing, immediately woke up their siblings to take a look.
Hashtag took pictures immediately, to show the humans of their family when they woke up.
That, was the first of the cute, little kid activities that Bee and Cliffjumper did. And one of the very few that the terrans or the maltos saw. Bee and Cliffjumper immediately started acting like nothing had ever happened. Which let the maltos see who Bee was before the isolation, the loss of his brother, and perhaps even fighting in the war completely. It didn't take long for a berth to be set up for Cliffjumper, as he and Bee were never seen apart since Cliffjumper arrived.
That also, allowed the maltos to see the slightly more reckless, and much more violent side to Bee, along with the somehow more reckless and violent Cliffjumper. Once, when Nightshade and Jawbreaker woke early to practice transforming, they saw their older siblings fighting. Not the no-actual-pain-or-damage fighting, but like the fighting they saw between autobots and deception fighting. It ended up in wrestling, grass and dirt stuck to plating, paint got scraped off, energon leaked, and dents were made. By the end, though, the two were laughing and talking in a way that made no sense.
It was, to say the least, very odd. The terrans also got bonding time with Cliffjumper. Cliffjumper, due to his recklessness and carelessness to the safety of himself, had caused some damage to the property. That got him some stern talks courtesy of Dot, which he didn't really listen to. He did, however, be extremely careful when it came to others, so when he nearly hurt fluffy ears, he was very apologetic and hateful of himself. That gave way for connection to Jawbreaker and Twitch. Jawbreaker helped him with the fact of nearly harming someone dear to him, and Twitch with, well, fluff ears.
Most of the terrans took to Cliffjumper quickly, except for Thrash. Cliffjumper, didn't take very quickly to anyone. He mostly avoided everyone, and tried to ditch them, like Bee at the very beginning of teaching the terrans. Thrash, surprisingly, was the first he connected with. Cliffjumper was sneaking out on one of the first nights, and Thrash was tailing him. He didn't trust Cliffjumper, and wanted to make sure nothing was up. Turns out, C.J. Just wanted to get the lay of the land. Cliffjumper has always been uneasy with staying in a place he didn't know, so he snuck out to put himself at ease. He also ended up getting lost, which furthered his uneasiness. So when Thrash accidentally snapped a twig, Cliffjumper freaked. Thrash calmed him down and helped him out.
Bee was the first to know about what happened, so he decided that everyone would take turns showing the property to C.J., to help him be more comfortable.
Nightshade didn't really see anywhy they could connect, but when Cliffjumper had to repair daisy, he asked Nightshade if they could help. Turns out, Cliffjumper had some technical and building skills, as he built most of his weapons from scratch. He also had added mods to Bee and his bodies, one of which being sheilds similar to Thrashes. Although his inventions were more war based and violent, he did help with some of the things that Nightshade needed help with.
Within two weeks, he had healed and was settled happily. He and Bee were as happy as ever, because the Yin had found Yang. They balanced each other out. Bee kept Cliff from accidently killing himself, and Cliff kept Bee from spiraling into a deep, dark, pit of self destruction. That was, until Optimus showed up.
