...ok I know I said that I was gonna only do one prompt for @zutaraweek, but turns out I was inspired enough to try and do another one! I actually had a lot of ideas for the "time" prompt, but where I decided to land on was "time of day", so in this case "nighttime & daytime"; and as we all know she rises with the moon, and he rises with the sun lol

HUUUUUGE Shoutout to Dante Basco @rufiozuko and @soopersara for being so kind and generous with their time so as to record a few lines of dialog for this. Their participation is NOT an endorsement of the fic so please don’t bother them about that. (Also, just to temper expectations, I was only able to do dialog for one of two animatics, and this one was shorter and more Zuko-heavy so it got picked.) My storyboard does NOT cover the NSFW parts; it is just pining and fluff. At this point in the story, Zuko and Katara have had a passionate kiss in the garden after a lot of yearning and build up to that point (not pictured) but it was interrupted. Katara’s trip to the fire nation is nearing its end. So they have to decide if they tell each other how they feel or leave things unsaid as she is set to leave. Never enough time Zuko and Katara are hugging before she leaves for the Souther Water Tribe for months. Even though they spend every moment together when she’s in the Fire Nation, it never feels like enough when she’s gone.

Zutara Week, Day 6: Court

Arranged Marriage AU where Zuko travels to the Southern Water Tribe to claim his bride, and upon meeting his intended, realizes that she is a waterbender, a secret that Katara has desperately tried to keep hidden from the Fire Nation.

But instead of feeling threatened by this truth, her new husband does something Katara does not expect. He insists on taking her to the North Pole to be trained.

Of course, when they get there, they discover that the North won't train women in combat. However, Zuko is able to persuade them. Pakku then asks Zuko why he would train his new bride in all the ways she would be able to murder him in his sleep.

"If she murders me in my sleep," Zuko says, "I'll know that I've failed her as a husband."
