Me knowing that once again the writers are squandering the potential to write such a beautiful love story with thematic parallels, chemistry, a slowly forged deep friendship and bond, and a message that matches the overall theme of the show

Knowing that they’ve added an even deeper meaning to their moments together, illuminating the romantic chemistry, building their bond further, and they could have the power to make this narrative change and add something fresh and different to the beloved story that people have wanted to see for over 2 decades and would bring in countless new fans and new discussion and buzz, and that fans of the original pairing would still always have the original and that giving this alternative story a chance on the big screen would be such a great moment without even changing much of the rest of the plot AND we had multiple zutara writers in the room ONCE AGAIN, and could’ve had it all

Can't believe it's been 10 years since I drew the Aang that started me on my animation journey. I entered it into an open call for submissions at Gallery Nucleus during their Avatar Anniversary show and was blown away to hear Bryan himself purchased it. And after all these years, I'm now a character designer on the next entry in the series 🥹🧡 I couldn't be more grateful for this fateful encounter

I absolutely adore Korrasami’s love confession at the end of Turf Wars, so for this day, I wanted to draw that final scene of them facing the spirit portal from the balcony (but from the opposite perspective so we can see their beautiful faces) 🥰

remember when azula - who never missed, even in her state of mind; who always knew best where to cut and how deep, especially when it came to her brother - purposefully directed the lightning strike against katara. remember when zuko caught on to it and looked back at katara and yelled no while taking the hit for her. remember when zuko outran lightning for katara. remember when they kept reaching for each other in spite of the pain and and the agony and the cascade of blue flames surrounding them. remember when katara healed him. remember when zuko thanked her. remember when katara thanked him back with tears streaming down her cheeks. remember when they stood by each other at the end and beginning of the world - the darkest night, then its dawn? like are we remembering? because it’s a beautiful day to remember

My piece for the @zutaracoloringbook!! The theme is 'Lost and Found', and I was compelled by the idea of Katara and Zuko going about their lives in canon only to to reconnect and find a new future with each other in their twilight years. (Not that they're 'lost' with Aang or Mai, just that whatever spark had been there between them in their youth wasn't fully realized)
