ava balderas was born on april 4th to emilio and sofia balderas. her full name is avelyn but only her family really call her that.
her parents were born in and lived most of their lives in spain and were fairly poor up until 5 years before ava was born when they won a substantial amount of money on a lottery ticket. her father put most of the money into property and before long decided to develop one of the larger properties he owned into a hotel. time passed and with hard work and a bit of luck he ended up opening more and more hotels all over the country.
when they discovered sofia was pregnant with ava, the couple decided to emigrate to america with the plan of emilio being able to expand his business even further. business boomed and the family was wealthier than ever so the only life ava has ever known is one of luxury.
her parents are pretty humble people considering they came from nothing but ava is the opposite, she’s entitled and thinks most people are beneath her despite how much this attitude annoys her parents. though they originally wanted her to experience a normal life, emilio soon found he just couldn’t say no to his only daughter meaning ava has gotten her own way basically her entire life.
she’s lived in new york her whole life and would have happily continued her easy life as an heiress with no career if her parents hadn’t forced her to go to college to make use of the fact that she’s actually very smart.
she never had to work very hard in school & could achieve the highest grades with minimum effort so she eventually warmed to the idea of college, figuring it would be easy & an excuse to party all the time.

despite being pretty selfish and self-important at times, ava is a very loyal/generous friend and while she only has a handful of people she trusts, she treats the people she loves very well
she’s not an overly affectionate person, will rarely be caught hugging someone unless she’s wasted
on the other hand, if she dislikes someone, she’ll go out of her way to make their life a misery without batting an eyelid
she’s a vegan and she’s very passionate about animal welfare. she loves animals but hates people lmao
she’s also a bit of a germophobe and will always have a bottle of hand sanitiser on her at all times
she can be very petty, bitchy and can hold a grudge until literally the end of time
she’s a party girl & loves nothing more than getting drunk/high and going out with her friends
she’s very selective when it comes to guys and while she’s partial to making out from time to time, she’s only slept with a small number of people
she has a sarcastic/dry sense of humour and is generally just up for a good time
