Rejecting constructive criticism because it hurts will never make you a better person.
Haladrin’s menu! Pandaren style dishes (he was trained in Pandaria at the monastery while learning the ways of the monk) but with as many fresh local ingredients familiar to most blood elves as he can get :)
He’s almost ready to open up shop! Full size pictures here.
[[ I’m thoroughly tempted to have Thorn order and get some RP in. I love this! ]]
All I have to say is this is very excellently done. This is the sort of creative immersion content that really does add character and depth to the community as a whole. Five out of five stars! Expect a constant customer from Sin.
Gallaria will never leave this place. Ever. Great idea and it’s making me hungry XD
Can’t wait to visit! This is a great idea, I love it so much. It’s close to the library so I expect Aylice will be spending a lot of lunch breaks there!

Armored Up
Elysol Hyclinth was spotted in The Royal Exchange wearing a handsome set of plate armor. "It was forged for me, gratefully, after I'd helped a few blacksmiths during my travels along the Eastern Kingdoms." He was wearing: Lightbringer War Helm, Lightbringer Pauldrons, Cloak of the Moon, Lightbringer Breastplate, Lightbringer Gauntlets, Lightbringer Belt, Lightbringer Greaves and Lightbringer Stompers.
Elyrion Greystar took aim in Farstrider Square both with and without his helm. His pale armor is mostly suited for a cold climate. "I believe it is generally available in Northrend. I found it in the Borean Tundra." He was wearing: Polished Staghorn Helm, Sundered Spaulders, Reversible Wool Cape, Snowhide Vest, White Swashbuckler's Shirt, Frostscale Bracers, Snowhide Mitts, Snowhide Belt, Snowhide Pants, Snowhide Hoof-Warmers and was wielding a Warsong Longbow.
The Sophisticated Host
Nothing makes you look less prepared and more amateur to your position than when a guest or associate walks in and you simply stare at them with no way to "break the ice" or make them comfortable before getting down to business. Likewise, nothing makes an enemy feel less welcomed than when they know you have something to offer, but you don't offer it to them. Here is a list of ten must-haves to be the best host (or least welcoming nemesis) you can be.
Minibar or Bar Cart - You'd be surprised how many guests arrive thirsty. Have they traveled far? Do they need something to curb their nerves? Who knows -- but offer them a drink!
Cigar Box - You might also be surprised how many guests relax once given something to smoke. Include in this a cigar cutter, cigarettes, and some good loose tobacco for the pipe or hookah smoker. Make sure to invest in the best, because that is what you are striving to be.
Umbrella Stand - Who carries umbrellas? Still, this is a great place for your guests to stash their walking sticks, staffs, or any weapons you don't want to see haphazardly leaned against your walls.
Console Table - "Would you like to lay aside your gloves?" Gesture to a beautiful entry table and they'll be sure to oblige. It makes shaking hands a lot more valuable, and offers your guests that much more comfort.
Coat Rack - Naturally, visitors and guests will need a place to hang their cloaks, capes, and coats; and what is more hospitable than asking if you can take their coat for them?
Brass Candleholders (or Crystal Candleholders) - First of all, it can be quite awkward to suddenly realize you are sitting in a dark room with your guest. Secondly, a good hefty pair of candleholders make excellent impromptu (self-defense) weapons in the event that the visit does not go as planned. (Brass is preferable as it is less breakable in the unfortunate event of an accident.) Be sure to add candles!
Table Lighter - Both a decorative piece and a practical, alluring solution to getting caught in a darkened room or finding your guest suddenly looking for a way to light that cigar you offered them.
Hall Mirror - The first thing you look at before answering the door and the last thing your guests glance at before leaving your company. It is also good to avoid that awkward hat or helmet hair guests might have upon arrival. This piece is often hung above the aforementioned table.
Leather Chair - Never underestimate the power of a comfortable -- but not too comfortable -- chair. Guests should feel welcome, but not so relaxed they fall asleep or wear out that welcome.
Clock - It is preferable to have a clock that chimes, as it can be so easy to lose track of time when in good company ... or because it will remind unwanted guests of just how long they have overstayed.
The OOC info:
Times given are PST, as I am on Wyrmrest Accord!
While Haladrin will be quoting prices to people during RP, I do NOT expect people to actually pay gold for pretend food :) For anyone who does enjoy a more immersive experience and paying for in game food, though, I will have some in Hala’s bags. I’ll take your lead on it–if you don’t initiate a trade then it’s pretend food fun times, if you offer me gold it’s in game food fun times. I will not be initiating any trades or asking for gold!
For those unable to be in game from 2 to 4 PST, but who have a character who would have come, I’ll accept tumblr prompts as IC raffle entries (just throw something in my ask box IC about showing up to buy a noodle bowl XD) until I go to bed around midnight PST. I won’t be checking tumblr until after the in game stuff wraps up, so even if you sent it in a tumblr prompt at 2 pm it’s only going to be worth one draw in the raffle–unless the in game turnout is abysmal, lol. I am also scouring the auction house looking for something suitable to offer OOC as a raffle prize…so there will be something besides pretend noodles!
As for the location, if anyone else uses this spot for anything, I’m fine with sharing! The city is bigger than it seems, and I could easily imagine this area being a bustling courtyard filled with wagons selling all sorts of wares. I am not in any way trying to lay claim to this spot :)
It’s That Time Again!
It is a mark of maturity when someone hurts you, and you try to understand them.
