Maybe you should go get a hand massage...I don't know how much it'll help with the early arthritis, but at the very least it should stop them from being so stiff.

Why do people come to restaurants if they can’t eat half of what’s on the menu? They don’t seem to realize how inconvenient it is to the people cooking their food to have to cook to extremely specific needs.

So they can have the experience of eating at that specific restaurant, and then getting to brag later to their friends about how accommodating the place was to their dietary needs.

That’s true, I do tend to be kind of a perfectionist. Yep, I hope so. I mean, it’s not like I have a backup plan or anything, which may not be the smartest idea. I just always knew this is what I wanted to do. And I felt that if I had a plan B then I would no longer be focusing on soccer, so. Avalon, wow, that’s a wonderful name. I love it. I’ve never heard it before.

I think it's sort of great that you don't have a backup plan. I mean, it's like you said, having a plan B would just distract you from soccer. So, why have something that's going to stop you from accomplishing your goals? It just doesn't make sense. And anyway, if soccer doesn't work out you do still have those three years of waiting experience to fall back on...so you're not exactly without options. Really? I don't get that about my name a lot, so thank you. Yeah, not many people have but that's probably because I was named after a mythical island.

That's probably because they scale it down a bit...but that just means there's so much to explore.

Yeah, it’s something that takes a lot of persistence and a very long temper. But yeah, it is. I put a lot of time into it. What do you like to do, then? Surely it isn’t waiting tables. But, if it is, that’s cool too.

That's something I definitely noticed..I guess I just don't have the patience for sticking with it. Sadly, no, waiting tables does not make it on to the list of things I like to do. I'm actually really into art. I focus mainly on photography, but I draw and paint as well.

Some people just get their rocks off on treating others like crap. I don’t really get it, myself. I mean, I know it’s a matter of power and control or whatever, but still, how can you feel powerful and in control when you send back your food and treat your server like crap?

l couldn't have said it better myself. Really, it's an absolute horrible way to live and I don't really understand it either. It just seems sad that someone can find validation in bringing other people down like that. I think if someone can do that without even a second thought, then they really need to re-evaluate their life.

Would you really? Because I’m the worst at making those kind of decisions. And if it were all up to me I’d be broke, and my apartment would look like a thrift store threw up on it.

Of course, I've always really enjoyed that kind of stuff. Plus if I can save your apartment and your wallet while still having fun then it's only fair to help out. Just think of me as your decorating fairy godmother.

I'm sure you're a lot better than you're giving yourself credit for...like they say we are our own toughest critic.Honestly, that's all you really can do and hopefully your hard work will pay off. Sorry, I don't know how I forgot to introduce myself.  It's nice to meet you Marcus, I'm Avalon.

You can't go wrong with hanging it over the bed. It'll ward off any negative dreams coming your way and definitely add something to the room.

  My apartment went without any decoration for months after I moved here. Well, if you ever need any help with the decorating I'd be happy to help out.

That sucks! Man, I can’t even begin to imagine how much you must miss it! Me? Well, to me soccer is… everything. It’s all I have besides my son, mom and sister. I learned to kick a ball before I learned to talk, pretty much. Been playing ever since. I’m captain of USuncrest’s team and hopefully I’ll make it to the Galaxy’s reserve team once school is over. I’ve been in some of the tryouts, but I don’t know how that’s going to turn out for me.

Sometimes I don't even notice, but then I'll see a little kid in their uniform and I remember how much fun I used to have. . I had to beg my mom to even let me play in the first place. For some reason she didn't think it was right for a little girl to have cuts and scrapes all over her body. Eventually she let me do it, but she hated the whole idea. One time I twisted my ankle in a game and she threatened to make me quit. I was way too stubborn to ever let that happen and eventually she gave up on trying to stop me. I know where you're coming from, soccer was never my everything but it was a huge part of my life.

 I can totally see you on the team, and if you're this passionate about soccer I have no doubt that you must be good. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and I want to know if you hear any news.

Oh, yeah, that definitely sounds like an asshole. I remember punks like that for when they come into the coffee shop. I never seem to forget people like that.

Yeah, people like that tend to be really unforgettable. I guess these assholes just go around town treating everyone like crap. It's totally not fair but I guess that comes with the territory.

Not really. I mean, I've tried a few times but I just ended up embarrassing myself more than actually surfing. I have to give you some serious credit, surfing is a lot harder than it looks.

I wish I was still playing. After I moved here I got too busy to continue playing. I haven't even seen a field since but I really miss playing. I'm going to go ahead and guess that you're really into soccer too?
