Is Joe's really the only place anyone ever goes to around here?
perfect! see you there!
Alright! See you in a bit!
Is Joe's really the only place anyone ever goes to around here?
I agree! Alex, Alyson, Meredith and I are going, want to come? We plan on getting so drunk that we can’t even see straight, it’ll be awesome.
So drunk that we can't even see straight? You didn't even have to ask. I'm so down.
Is Joe's really the only place anyone ever goes to around here?
But I mean it’s tequila Tuesday! That’s like Christmas for us.
Any time I get to drink and unwind, is like Christmas to me.
Is Joe's really the only place anyone ever goes to around here?
It is on tequila day! Actually, it is every day.
Wait, today's National Tequila Day, right? And I haven't even had anything to drink at all today. Something's wrong with that.
Is Joe's really the only place anyone ever goes to around here?
Pretty much. You don’t like joes?
Don't get me wrong, I like Joe's. It just seems like it'd get a little old after a while.
Is Joe's really the only place anyone ever goes to around here?
Seriously, though.
Just One More || Alyson and Avalynne
"It seems as if," Alyson nodded, “I know what you mean, about your first day," she admitted, “I’m excited for internship to be over and to become a resident, am I right?" the blonde questioned. “I want to save lives already," she stated. Alyson looked at her drink and she could just feel how strong it was on her taste buds without even having to taste it. She shrugged and looked at it before answering, “Nothing I can’t handle," she said, thinking about if she should get another drink. “Try it," Alyson slid her drink over to her left where the brunette had been sitting. “Tell me about yourself, anything," she looked over at the intern, then back at the bartender, “Pass me another, something different," she asked, willing to try anything.
"That's probably how every single one of us interns feel. But then again, when you think about it, we know close to nothing. I mean, compared to the residents, that is." Nodding once again in agreement, Ava took a sip of her drink, savoring the sweet taste of it as it hit the back of her throat, before parting her lips to speak. "Don't we all, though?" Saving lives. It was one of the reasons -- maybe it sounded a bit cliche -- why Ava had chosen to pursue becoming a surgeon in the first place. "Alright, I believe you," the brunette said in reply, as she continued to down the rest of her own drink. Setting down her glass, she simultaneously caught Alyson's against her right palm and grinned. Taking a second to sip the drink, as soon as the drink hit Ava's tongue, she scrunched her nose slightly and brought the glass back down. "That's some good stuff right there." Looking over at the blonde, then back over to the bartender, she smirked and held up the glass. "I'll have another one of these, please." Bringing her attention back to Alyson, Ava cleared her throat. "Anything? Anything?"
'Tis the season for interns.
You know what I mean though. You’ll understand when you are a resident. It’s nice to meet you.
I guess, yeah. We're like little babies to you guys right now, huh?
'Tis the season for interns.
Freshmen. Hi I’m Alex Karev.
Freshmen? This isn't high school. But hi, I'm Avalynne Monaco. Whether it's nice to meet you, I'm not sure yet.
Norm.
I just love the possibility that comes with new interns. Time to seek out the ones that don't suck, because I don't trust anyone with the babies.
Well, Ava, I’m Dr. Allison Riley. I’m the OBGYN and neonatal surgery fellow here.Â
It's a pleasure to meet you, Dr. Allison Riley. I hope that maybe someday, I'll get the privilege to assist you somehow. When I prove I'm worthy enough to, that is.
So many new interns.
We're everywhere, like a bunch of flies buzzing your ears, never to go away . Odd comparison, but it fits.
'Tis the season for interns.
We didn’t look like this when we were interns did we?
Look like what exactly?
Just One More || Alyson and Avalynne
Alyson didn’t seem to have any friends considering it was only her second day, so she was happy that she met another intern so she wouldn’t be alone in a bar. She had set her resident in a bad mood that day and had numerous stacks of charts to finish and was just about to fall asleep on them, so it was good to stop for drinks before she went back, because if the blonde wanted to get anything surgical she was going to have to finish her charting. Alyson let out a small laugh, “No problem, I agree. We would’ve been loners, and nobody comes to a bar alone," she laughed once more as the bartender handed her her both drink. “How’s your first day as an intern?" Alyson questioned, sliding Avalynne’s drink over to her then stirring her mini straw around her drink for a good fifteen seconds before actually taking a sip then making a sourpuss kind of face at her drink, “Ouch," she said.
With a laugh, Avalynne nodded in agreement. "Yeah," she paused, giving the bar a quick once over -- the place was filled with others, laughing it up and just all around having a good time -- before speaking again. "Because a woman coming to drink at a bar alone practically deems her one of those single, desperate women, looking for someone to take her home." Letting out a breath, she reached back and pulled down on her hairtie to let her hair free, after having it up in a bun for who knows how long. "My first day as an intern?" Avalynne repeated, while mulling over the question in her head. Shrugging nonchalantly, Ava then sighed. "It was alright. It could've been better, could've been worse. It just wasn't what I was expecting. But tomorrow's a new day, and I'm hoping it'll be a hell of a lot better. You know?" Grabbing her drink from Alyson, her lips curved upwards as she stirred her own drink. Looking over at Alyson, whose face had gone from normal, to a sour one in a matter of seconds, Avalynne couldn't help but let out a laugh. "That too strong for you?"
I just love the possibility that comes with new interns. Time to seek out the ones that don't suck, because I don't trust anyone with the babies.
I’m assuming you’d be one of the new interns.Â
You are correct! I just started today, actually. I'm Avalynne, Ava for short.
Just One More || Alyson and Avalynne
It was Alyson’s first couple of days as an intern and she already felt so tired after her 48 hour shift and was so ready for these drinks. The blonde had just moved here and didn’t know a lot of people so it was nice to go out with another intern. After finishing up her charts she changed out of her scrubs and headed over to the elevators clicking the button to hear a small “ding" like noise. As she got to the lobby she saw a familiar face, the other intern, Ava. She waved at the brunette “Hey," she smiled as they headed toward the lobby doors and started to walk across the street to the bar, she had never been at this bar but has heard many good things about it. Plus, she would to anything for a drink at the moment. The intern walked in, looking around the bar then took a seat by the bartender, “You know what, just surprise me with anything. Everything," she smiled. “What would you like, Avalynne?" she questioned.
With it being her first day as an intern, Ava hadn't known exactly what to expect for the day that she'd had ahead of her. And what she also didn't expect was to be sitting in front of a desk for countless hours, doing copious amounts of paperwork to no end until her eyes crossed. When her shift was over for the day, she didn't feel relieved. She didn't feel tired. The only thing Ava did feel was annoyed. Thankfully, the brunette did get to meet another fellow intern, who'd kindly invited her to head to Joe's with her after work. Which, of course, happened to save her from heading to Joe's by herself.
Nonetheless, when Ava had been instantly pulled away from her reverie when Alyson greeted her. Luckily, the bar was across the street, so they didn't have to worry about transportation matter. Once they were inside, Ava trailed after Alyson and sat herself down next to the blonde, flashing a smile at the bartender, before ordering something for herself. "I think I'll have a piña colada. I'm in the mood for something sweet." With that being said, Ava turned her attention back to Alyson. "Thanks again for inviting me. Because I know if you hadn't, I would've gone by myself, and that'd just be.... really sad."
