[ flower festival? flower festival!
this is the Perfect event for hajime tbh she loves festivals and she loves flowers. what better combination is there? so, like this for a mini/one-liner starter for the flower festival! i’ll be caping it at five because i’m feeling a bit adventurous!
The sun rises, and the moon sets; a story as old as time. Nothing appears out of the ordinary to those early risers among the citizens in Hive City. For those who live in sector six there is something within the tree laden part of the city that has only happened once before. Signs pop up elsewhere along the other sectors, pointing a certain direction that indicate you to follow. In a large clearing of sector six a ring of mushrooms, as tall as three story buildings, waits openly for all of Hive City to come and visit. A sign holds on the entree way that reads “Welcome To All Those Who Choose to Enter.”
Inside is an array of sounds, smells, and sights for the faire goers to enjoy. Shops line the mushroom’s that make the walls of the Flower Festival were one can purchase handcrafted items and art. If one follows their nose they will find an array of different foods and wines to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters! Small crowds are littered about as they shift from scene to scene, but most of all you notice the bright colors and shapes of flowers that seem to appear on almost every surface.

“Mukurou!! Please calm down!” Oh boy. The owl does not appreciate coming back here at all. The annoyed animal flew up above her head squawking, as if yelling at the clouds like an old man for putting them back in here again.
The poor girl felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment as she try to jump up and catch him. Please don’t– People are looking! she wish she could scream.
The owl flapping and squawking in the sky isn’t something she expected to see today – or any day, for that matter. She’s surprised and stands there blinking for a few seconds until she spots a girl who can only be his owner trying to catch him.
“Hello!” she chirps, coming to stand next to the girl. “Do you need any help?”
This may not be Tokyo and she may not be able to use much of her powers anymore, but she’s still a Gatchaman and Gatchaman help those who need it.

It had taken Sakura less than five seconds to determine that she disliked this place–wherever it was. Exploring had done her no favors in gaining a more positive opinion of her new home. In fact, it had probably done the exact opposite.
“I don’t even know where I am anymore…”
She breathes out a soft sigh, only to yelp out in surprise shortly after. Sakura had rounded a corner just in time to run into someone–another girl that appeared to be just a few years older.
“Oh, excuse me! I’m so sorry about that..”
Hive City is bustling and big. It reminds her of Tokyo in all the good and bad ways – which is fine! She loves Tokyo, loves Tachikawa, loves Hive City in all its newness and mystery and weirdness.
But even though she loves it, it doesn’t change the fact that she has no idea where she is. Which is why she’s not paying as much attention as she should while walking, too caught up on trying to find something familiar. As much as being lost can be an adventure, it’s getting a bit late.
And cold.
She stumbles slightly as someone runs into her and blinks, looking down at the young girl. She smiles.
“It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s to~ta~lly fine!” She sticks her hand out in hopes of a handshake. “I’m Hajime! Are you okay?”

The other girl grabs her hands and Athena lights up. She is almost positive this is how making friends works. “Ah, thank you so much!! You’re so kind! Um, I’m Athena, it’s nice to meet you!”
“I’m Hajime, a Gatchaman!” She lets go of Athena’s hands to pose. “It’s nice to meet ya!”

Hajime grabs the girl’s hands and beams. What an unexpected compliment! “Thank you! I love your hair and clothes – they’re so bright! Kinda like a sunny day!”

She probably shouldn’t be out so late – especially in a city she knows almost nothing about – but Hajime has never been very good at following the “unspoken rules” of society.
So here she is at eleven at night, skipping cheerily down the sidewalk and peeking into all the dark corners a girl alone at night shouldn’t be peeking into without a single ounce of fear.

She’s lost. It’s no surprise considering the fact that she’s been in this city less than a month and still has very little idea about how it actually works. There’s nothing familiar around her beyond the general familiarity of a big city and she pouts–taps her chin–grins.
“Excuse me!” She waves. “Do you know where we are?”

“Your hat is super cute! Are you a magician?” she asks, leaning into the other girl’s personal space with a smile that a few shades too bright.
