Scarlet’s War - the new GW2 cinematic

A really quick recap on everything that happened in season 1. I guess that won’t be coming  in individual episodes anytime soon...or ever

Beta testing Revenant and got saved by a glitch. This is the Immortal Revenant. Even your enemies will somehow forget to attack or finish you while you’re down... I mean, up... I mean, running around...

I just wished I could replicate this more often... you know, the other 10.000 times I died.

Sieran is the bravest mentor- maybe even character- in Guild Wars 2.

Sieran wasn’t old like Forgal, she didn’t live her life like Tybalt. She was a sylvari, at the oldest she’s probably just a decade old (even then that might be a stretch). The majority of her life was searching, looking, and wanting to see more.

Yet here she is, she doesn’t even hesitate to sacrifice herself to save her friend and comrades.

She wasn’t old, cynical and had a family like Forgal did. She wasn’t in the ashes of a legion career pencil pushing at a desk for years. She was out there grabbing life by the horns, just beginning her life! She was doing so much, she was exploring, seeing more. She was so full of potential, yet here she is, not even hesitating for a moment to do this and all the proof in the world that she isn’t ready to die. She doesn’t want to, but she’s prepared to.

She was amazing and yet people still don’t recognize her value. Don’t get me wrong, I like Tibbers, I mean, Tybalt... But Sieran was something special.

Mordremoth Mojito

The screams of the dead and dying filled the air of Camp Resolve when the mordrem came. Fire reached towards the sky as the canons overheated and finally gave away in a blast of smoke and flames. Soldiers fell and their bodies were stepped over by the terrible minions of Mordremoth, the Elder Dragon of plants. Not even the greatest heroes of Tyria could stop them and they were only driven back when the Pact airships rained bombs on the fort, slaying allies and enemies alike.

There was no glory to be found in Camp Resolve on that day, nor in the following days when Mordremoth ripped the Pact’s airships from the sky itself and dragged their wreckage down into the depths of the jungle. 

That sort of chaotic horror calls for a drink.

Ingredients:

Ice

6 oz white rum

1 oz peppermint schnapps

4 Tbsp simple syrup

6 Tbsp fresh lime juice

20 fresh mint leaves (roughly chopped), plus more for garnish

Green food coloring

Key lime soda

Lime

Add the ice, rum, schnapps, simple syrup, lime juice, mint leaves, and 3-4 drops of green food coloring to a shaker. Shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Squeeze in a lime wedge and fill to the top with key lime soda. Garnish with fresh mint leaves. 

Makes 4 mojitos, or one really big one.
