Hey @sixpenceee !!!! I took a picture of this statue from around the corner of where I live. It’s fully creepy. Its called 'Koester diversiteit' (Nourish diversity) and it’s located in Almere Haven, The Netherlands. Good message but superbly creepy. Here is also the original Reddit post. So I just read this after getting it back in July. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it and the bright pink cover made it hard to resist. The book starts off slow, typical, and uninteresting. It’s not until you get to pages 90-100 where it picks up and grabs your attention. There are a few questions that remain unanswered that, of course, I want to be answered. The main one being, what really happened to Mr. Willis? Did possessed Brooklyn actually murder him or was it a harmless accident? Why does she have his wedding ring? Since Riley knows its his, wouldn’t the staff know and more importantly his wife and wouldn’t it become questionable? There’s a few things we can suggest and guess at. At first people might think they were in a secret relationship. Maybe Riley knew and threatened him or slept with him to take away from Brooklyn. That would explain the sudden change in hate toward Riley. But doesn’t explain the death. Another guess would be that it was her dad/godparent/foster parent and that would explain more of why she has the ring and the fact that there aren’t any adults in her life. Since he was a big person in faith, it may have led to some extremes which resulted in Brooklyn hating him. Maybe he tried to get the “evil” out of her like Riley did when she became a teenager and started to rebel and going out and doing things outside the norm. So one day, presumably, after a tragic event, (possibly rape?) she had had enough that she killed him. Supposedly there is a part 2 in the works and will come out next July. I really hope there’s more light on this and not something just swept under the rug.
