Long time no new art!
Was recently (re-)reading Metamorpheus: Observation by @fangedprinx and well.
Big claw? Big wing? They compel me, I was compelled
Were they supposed to have a blindfold on? Yes! But I forgor, which is totally my brain disorder and nothing to do with sexy sexy cognitohazards

Boobies are a species of bird. There are many kinds of tit.
Uhhhhh breast. Bone. Breastbone.
(I sat down to some mindless drawing and an hour later some bird with these dobonhonkeros sits on my tablet. such is life)

October 13th - seek cures for the King's Evil
From the Fairfax Household Book, 17th/18th century, via the Perpetual Almanac of Folklore
A quick doodle I inked up. I need to get back into the habit of warming up before drawings - the details I got from my brush were so shaky x)

The lone spectre on the stairs is our most active presence - visitors to the Tower have seen her standing by the base of the stairs, looking at something we cannot see.
Some of our visitors have reported her making direct eye contact with them, her knowing look filling them with wonder or fear. What is it she sees in your face? This benign spirit guards her secrets well.

I really should have learned by now that inktober just isn't for me - I get hyped up by the prompts, can't keep up with the breakneck pace I set myself (the plan was a full a4 ink illustration every other day, including weekends)
Ahaha. Hah. Hah.
I got two finished and one plotted out? Like the idea sketches were done and I was trying to build a ref in minecraft. ACK
I wish I could set up some kind of contraption that if I so much as said "inktober", would launch a boxing glove at my face, looney toons style.
Marketing for the marketing gods. Hoping to offer this soon as a print!
Mohammed Aborjela shared this short documentary on October 6. He interviews Naseem, a displaced farmer helping to harvest olives at an orchard near her displacement camp.
Before the war, Naseem had her own olive groves. She recalls how members of her family would come help harvest, and the sense of family and community through this shared activity. Though her farm is destroyed, she tells Aborjela "I love harvesting the trees. It's the beautiful part."
Olive trees are a long standing cultural symbol in Palestine. Before the war, olive production made up 14% of Palestine's economy. As such, these trees have been a target of occupation forces for many years.
