Brennan Lee Mulligan literally offered up the Clown and folks are upset Ally Beardsley picked it up. Folks are welcome to talk about not liking the finale, of course! but I will never understand why I see Beardsley get so much ire directed at them, when Mulligan (or the others at the table) are the ones setting these bits up.

Beardsley doing unhinged shit in a D20 finale is damn near part of the brand at this point.

man I feel so conflicted about ai sometimes. online and in my social circle I'm pretty well immersed in the "ai bad" bubble. but the degree im studying is in design for digital media, literally one of the fields that is most in threat, and most of my lecturers have the same sentiment on it - ai is here to stay. it will likely take your job. you must learn to use ai or else you will not have a job. so now I'm like where does this leave me?? what's the right call to make here? how do I balance career viability with all the ethical issues? is there an ethical way to use ai? i dont think so but people around me seem to think there is?? I feel like I'm being indoctrinated

pretty terrible stuff isn’t it. I’m hoping to god as AI gets “better”, we as humans will develop a sense for it, and will naturally prefer the human stuff 🙏

However, when AI is integrated within a tool, as an assistant to human work,,, how can people know? and is this ok? I’ve had times while programming where this AI plugin will literally suggest completing a line exactly how i was thinking it, and that scares me.

I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see. I think there are too many pitfalls for AI to just replace us, it has such a high chance of failure and it uses so much electricity and processing power. I don’t see it getting “better” without these pitfalls getting worse too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

do you guys ever just stop to think about how nice it is to just… be alone? like, completely alone. no texts, no calls, you’re just simply existing and doing what makes you happy in solitude. maybe you’re reading a really great book, or listening to music, or watching something/etc. you’re just…. alone with your own thoughts and no one is there to bother you. i love moments like that. everything is so quiet and peaceful.

Although sometimes it works the other way, being alone giving off the feeling of loneliness, making yourself feel like you’ve no part to play in society. Being alone is nice sometimes, but other times it can lead to some negative thoughts and negative feelings. Maybe it varies from person to person.
