satanist discord

hello! i’m a theistic satanist, looking to possibly create a discord server for other theistic satanists. this would be a server for experienced and inexperienced satanists alike, and not only a place to discuss practices, but find friends as well.

this server would be ABSOLUTELY safe for everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, sex, ability, and every other possible thing you could think of. there would be no tolerance of hate for other server members or minorities in general. systems would be welcome!

this server would be for: - theistic satanists and luciferians (sorry laveyans, this isn’t the server for you) - teens and up - witches/pantheists/polytheists (as long as you’re a satanist, whatever else you are is totally cool) let me know if you’re interested, i’d love to make a server for us :)

the server is pretty much ready to go up whenever, so i’d like to just put a couple more things out here!

this server will stay relatively sfw, as we have minors and other people who would like it to stay that way. there will be a specific channel for slightly nsfw content, such as nsfw devotional art, so that people don’t have to see it if they don’t want to. again, please keep it mild! this isn’t the server for extreme nsfw content.

yes, luciferians are included! i’ve edited the original post to include it.

there are system channels, including a little room, available.

if you have any suggestions right off the bat, let me know! i’ll reblog with any more updates and the invite once the server is ready to go up.

i think… in short, the reason i never understood the genesis narrative of adam and eve being thrown out of the garden, having been tricked by the serpent, is because like… the serpent tells eve the fruit will give them self-awareness/free will. And it does. that’s all it does. it didn’t lie and there’s never any reason given not to eat the fruit other than “god said so”? it’s never felt like satan tricked humanity but rather only wanted us to reach equality with the divine; something god Himself was too scared to allow

why laveyans are wrong about satanism

laveyan satanism – an organization which advocates for division between church and state, freedom from religion, and is against religious extremism. sometimes atheistic, sometimes worships mankind as gods.

if you take a look through the church of satan’s twitter, you’ll probably come across their claims that “theistic satanism is an oxymoron”. 

every day, i see laveyans claim that “devil worshipers” (who i will be calling satanists from now on in this post for simplicity’s sake, though not all people who worship the devil are referred to as satanists – and laveyan satanists will be referred to as “laveyans”) are inherently evil or are morally corrupt. they believe that we support abuse and violence. this is absolutely not the case.

ask any satanist, and they will tell you: we do NOT support harm to others.

personally, i’ve found that a great number of laveyans are very hypocritical. one of their main goals is to call out christians and other religious people’s conceit. however, when i come across a laveyan, nine times out of ten, they are just as disrespectful to religious people as the people they supposedly oppose. 

this isn’t to say that all laveyans are bad people. i’m simply attempting to call out the hypocrisy in their actions. 

they also like to claim that satanism inherently implies laveyan satanism. this, in my opinion, is extremely disrespectful to theistic satanists. it is the erasure of a religion. 

things satanists are:

followers of satan/lucifer

things satanists are not:

christians (christian as a term implies the worship of yahweh, and while some satanists believe in yahweh, we are very obviously against his teachings and reject the term christian for this reason)

abusers (satan/lucifer does not support the harm of human beings, and we do not need to be told not to hurt people. we have our own moral compasses)

immoral (as i said before, the reason many satanists worship satan/lucifer is because we disagree with the morality of yahweh. we are just as moral as anyone else)

animal killers (we don’t sacrifice live animals. thanks)

i would be very happy to answer any questions, and if i said anything incorrect or i wasn’t able to articulate my point, feel free to ask about it because i probably made a couple mistakes.

Laveyan Satanists, in my experience, also like to dunk on witchcraft. I mean, they perform rituals, but they hold them without truth. They just go through the motions of being magicians without believing that they have any inherent power. Some even go as far to say that believing in real magic and/or the reality of the demons as actual entities is “delusional.” It’s really obnoxious.
