The character: Randell Mindy from Don't look up (2021)
List the character’s major actions:
- dies with his family and fools during a catastrophe he foresaw;
- refuses to save what the US president offers;
- cheats on his wife;
- quarrel with old friends to have connections with high-ranking officials and the rich;
- together with friends warns the government about the need to prevent disasters;
- learns about a comet that must destroy the Earth;
- studies and teaches astronomy.
The list to reveal the character’s wants and needs. Is the character aware of what they want?
- engage in astronomy
- be useful to science and people
- family security
- to love and be loved
He is aware of his desires and needs. But one day he retreats from it, but then returns to his original desires and needs.
Describe how the character thinks and look at his or her basic psychology
He thinks like a conscientious scientist. At some point, he begins to show illogicality in drawing conclusions about other people and situations. Impulsively perceives admiration as true love. But he quickly becomes cautious again
Describe the character’s superficial affect. How might a casual acquaintance describe them?
Intellectual, but somewhat gentle man.
List any important physical characteristics
Nice man with glasses, a little fat.
